Does anyone know how the bus service is at CSR? Which stop is first and which is last? We've never stayed there before, but it seems like every time we've waited on bus lines at the parks, 3 buses for CSR would come before ours would. I've always thought it must be good.

CSR has terrific transportation. It doesn't share with any other resort (like POR / POFQ) and it only has 4 bus stops within the resort (vs 7 at CBR). And since CSR is centrally located, you'll have a quick ride to all the parks.

BUSES
Theme park bus stops go in this order:
Bus Stop 2: Casitas
Bus Stop 3: Ranchos
Bus Stop 4: Ranchos and Cabanas
Bus Stop 1: El Centro

DtD and Exit buses
The bus stops are:
Bus Stop 1: El Centro
Bus Stop 2: Casitas
Bus Stop 3: Ranchos
Bus Stop 4: Ranchos and Cabanas

They go in this order to assist guests in getting to the main building and back to their village.

Well Buzz is the expert :) Most people here would agree that the bus transpo at CSR is very good.:earsboy:

I have to agree w/ everyone and say it was excellent transportation. We never had much of a wait time. In fact one of the drivers picked us up (it was only our family on the bus) and it was a DTD bus that we were catching to go and catch an AKL for dinner @ Boma. Well he asked us what we had in store for the evening and we told him and he took us directly to AKL. :thumbsup2 I know that isn't always the norm but it was a welcomed bit of pixiedust:

hey, we're doing the same thing. What's the normakl route? I thought you could take a bus to Animal kingdom and walk to the lodge and Boma.

Buzz, which is the correct bus pick-up order for CSR? Your post here is different than that listed on your web-site. This is of interest because the DW is in a wheelchair and being at the first bus stop will increase our chances of getting a bus as the buses can only take a max of 2 wheelchairs/ECV. BTW, create web-site.

Second question, I am also curious about the trip to the Boma restaurant at AKL. Can you walk from the AK to AKL? or do we need to get a bus from CSR to AK and then transfer to an AKL bus?

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry about that...had it backwards all this time and you were the first to mention that.

Bus, too far to walk and no sidewalks.

Do the buses sometimes get filled up by the 2nd stop. If you're at the 3rd or 4th stop, is this an issue? This has happened to us at other resorts where if you weren't at the other first stop, forget it!!!! Do you think I should request the Casitas? It's just such a long walk to the dig site.

I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I've had to stand on a bus at CSR. That is covering 9 trips. It doesn't happen often because many of the convention folks are doing their convention stuff during the day and when they get time to hang out, they head to PI. Leaving DtD or the parks at closing is when you will experience the buses being full but not usually leaving the resort.
