I have a question about the buses that go from the hotels to the Parkson downtown Disney. How will you know when the next bus is coming how long it will be until he gets there? Is Disney implemented a text based system where you text your cell phone to a certain number and it would come back with the next time? And I know the bus system isn't called magical express but what is it called

it's not called anything really,, except a part of Disney's transportation system.

no, they dont' text you when the next one is coming.. you just stand at the proper bus stop until it comes.

it isn't perfect, but it's pretty reliable. have we ever had problems or complaints? yes. but we still prefer it to driving, even when we drive down to florida with our own car.

now if you are talking about the downtown disney hotels (the non disney hotels) and their shuttle services, that I am not sure about. you could ask at the hotel or call them and ask what their particular shuttle service schedule is

also, to clarify, buses run from the resorts to the parks and back. and from park to park (except MK and epcot, they have a monorail between them, with the TTC as a transfer point)
they also run from the resorts to Downtown disney.. but there are not buses from DTD to the parks and back.

I'm going to assume that you aren't talking about buses going from the DTD resorts to the parks. But, rather, the buses to and from WDW resorts and parks to DTD.
Buses run from WDW resorts and DTD every 20 mins or so...hopefully. It can be longer. There are boats running from POR and OKW to DTD that are fun to use. The buses returning to the resorts run the same schedule.
There is no transportation from any park to DTD. And no buses going from DTD to any park.
There is no system that you can get on your phone to tell you when the next bus is coming. YOu just have to wait for one to show up...they are supposed to run every 15-20 mins during the busy times.

I didn't think there were buses from park to park. I thought you had to connect through a resort or DTD. Have I been missing something????

Yes, there are park to park buses.....have been for a long time. So, it goes like this...
MK to Epcot..monorail or boat to TTC, transfer to the Epcot line.
MK to DHS or AK...boat or monorail to TTC and get bus to either HS or AK

AK...buses to DHS, Epcot and TTC

DHS...buses to TTC, Epcot and DHS. Boat to backdoor of Epcot

Epcot..buses to DHS and AK. Monorail to TTC. Boat to DHS from back door.

The TTC serves as the transfer point to all parks from MK.

early dec 2007. for some reason the queues at the all star buses at DHS were HUMUNGOUS!!!! it was a madhouse.

nebo was thinking! we grabbed a bus to epcot, then got in the all stat music bus queue.
