I have a question, the chartered bus for the guests is it $440 per hour or $440 for the total of 5 hour minimum? TIA!!

That price isn't bad!
My Cousin is getting married 11/17/07 and doesn't want to get the bus because they figured $3000 for her wedding to use the bus. (They told her she would need 3 busses)
Can we as guests get the bus and pay for it ourselves? How many people does it hold?

Thanks.
(Sorry about the thread stealing)

The busses hold 47 passengers i believe! We had one for our wedding - we had it pick up at each hotel and bring the guests to the ceremony - then take them to the pre reception/reception - take us all to epcot after the reception for the dessert party and then drop them all back at their hotels at the end of the night - they even dropped off at a villa in kissimmee!

It was worth every penny!

AlwaysEeyore, like Laurafoster, I hired the private motor coach, too. It worked out beautifully. I think I rented it for something like 9 hours. It picked my guests up at their Disney resorts, took them to the Wedding Pavilion for my ceremony, then transported everyone to the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park for my dinner party. When my party ended sometime after 2 AM, it took everyone back to their resorts. No one had to worry about drinking and driving that night, which made the rental of that motor coach worth its weight in gold to me.

Here are a few photos of the motor coach that was provided for my event (Mears has other motor coaches):

Where is your cousin's wedding ceremony and dinner reception being held? Perhaps she doesn't want the motor coach because both events are being held in the same location?

If you and the other guests want to pay for the motor coach in advance, I'm sure something could be arranged. Please discuss it with your cousin. It is a very kind and generous offer and I'm hopeful that she'll see it that way, too.

The other option you might want to look into is renting a limo yourselves instead of a bus - it's less per hour and I've seen people say that if you get them from outside vendors it's pretty reasonable. That way you don't have to try to find 40+ people to split the bus!

I highly recommend Happy Limo. Not only were they a pleasure to work with, but they do lots of Disney weddings and are familiar with backstage stuff. Whereas, a lot of other limo companies don't like going to Disney functions (if you need a backstage entrance) because they don't know if they'll get clearance or not. BTW - all limos get clearance... it comes from your EM. You just have to tell them what company you're using. ;) Good luck in your decision.

Thanks everyone. Her wedding will be as follows

11/17/07 at The Wedding Pavillion then Boardwalk Ballroom for Cocktail hour and reception.

Most of the guests seem to be staying at the All-Stars,
I couldn't believe Disney will charge them $3000. They told her she has 100+ guests so she needs 3 busses.

Thanks again and congrats to everyone!!

It depends how many hours she would need it for and how many guests she would end up with. If she does have over 100 guests then she would need 3 coaches!

I confirmed with a Disney wedding consultant today that the bus holds 47 passengers. It costs $88 per hour with a five hour minimum. That's why it's listed at $440 whether you use it for one hour or five hours.

If the bride and groom wants to enter Epcot or Disney-MGM Studios, they must take the back entrance. If the guests wish to enter the theme park, you can have them group together at the park entrance and Disney will have someone there (arranged ahead of time through your coordinator) to escort them to their destination. I confirmed that with the consultant today too. That means you may only have to bus everyone around, depending on convenience and cost.

She can also charter just one bus. One bus making three trips is identical to three buses that each make one trip except it'll take longer for the guests to arrive. That's not usually a big problem because some guests take longer than others to get ready. That's the best use of your charter time since otherwise the bus(es) would sit around most of the time.
