This is our first trip to DW and we are trying to figure out what's the best way to get to all the parks from FW. I have looked at the maps trying to figure this out but I guess it's going to take seeing everything to understand it. I understand that there are several buses to go different places and even a boat to get across to one. What is the average time spend on a bus or boat?
We are planning to rent a golf cart at FW and bring our bikes also. We are so excited about this trip and looking forward to it, we have been planning this for a very long time and choose to stay at FW instead of someplace else. We love camping!

OK, this is just my opinion, and I assume you have a car...

For the Magic Kingdom, use the boat from the marina. 15 - 20 minutes but it's like a ride itself, so the time goes quick.

For any other park I drive. With the FW plackard parking is free at all parks. This allows travel at your own pace and quick exits/returns. We generally do a park for several hours (3 to 4, maybe 5 if things are going good) then back to the campground to walk Natasha and unwind a little. With a golf cart this is a great ime to ride around and look at the campground and campers.

Late afternoon/early evening finds us returning to a park that is open late. Another 4 - 5 hours, a fireworks show, maybe an adult beverage at EPCOT and it's time to move on, again on my schedule - not he bus schedule.

Again, this is my opinion. I know lots of floks like to park the car and not touch it until it's time to go home. To each their own.

Thanks, I didn't know about the free parking. Yes, we will be in our pick-up. That is an option forsure.
Thanks againk,

We have never had a car to travel to the parks but found the buses to be very efficient. You also are dropped off closer to the park entrances than any where you could park. The bus stop at the Outpost (where you check in) has the buses to Epcot,Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney. At the other end of the park is the Settlement near the marina, here you board the buses to MGM or Wilderness Lodge or the boat to Magic Kingdon,Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary resort. The trading post,Trails End buffet and Hoop Dee Doo are also at this location. All the buses go directly to the parks as do the boats and are as fast as you could drive and the wait is usually only about 15 minuets maximum.

Thanks, I was wondering about the time frame I was looking at. :moped:
