DD and I were at POR from 6/7-6/10...had a great time. I was really interested in how the buses were going to be...although I've stayed there before and had no issues.
There were times that the main depot was the last stop, and we had to stand up. That happened just once. Other times we were the first stop, so had seats. But the thing that I really liked was the overhead board that let guests know when the next bus to their particular destination was due at their stop. I don't know if these boards are at the other stops, but there is one at the main depot. It was updated if the bus was going to be later...for instance, on Sunday, we were heading to Epcot. The board said the bus would be there at 9:23. We got to the stop around 9:15. Well, a minute or two passed...the arrival time changed to 9:25, then to 9:27. But, that bus arrived at 9:27! It was nice to know how much longer you would be waiting. Hopefully, other resorts will use this system.
We had no issues with buses at POR...despite what others have reported. We didn't have long waits...I think the longest was a bus to DTD, but we just missed one! So we waited about 15 or so mins for the next one.
There was usually a seat available. If not, it wasn't all that far to our destination.
So, all in all, the buses were just fine. Well, except for that family that had half it's party miss the bus at POFQ! The bus sat there, at the stop for about 5 mins, as usual. Then, after everyone was on board and seated, the driver started to pull away. She was about 20' past the end of the bus stop area when a seated woman started yelling 'Hey, that's the rest of our group back there....stop. They need to get on the bus!! Stop!!' Well, the driver announced that once she pulled away from the stop she isn't allowed to stop to pick up any other passengers. Man that family was not happy! But, I could understand the drivers point.

Good to know. I read another post (yesterday I think) that discussed a similar sign at AKL (I think that was the resort).

If this is indeed happening property-wide that'll be a big help.

Correct. Once the bus leaves the stop, the driver is not supposed to stop. Guests must enter and exit at designated bus stops unless there is an emergency. It is a guest safety issue.
