I saw that sign on the side of the road in winnetka today. Just a PSA.

We went camping last weekend and they would only allow firewood that originated no more than 50 miles from the campground.

In an effort to stop the spread of the emerald ash borer. Or is it Emerril?

But I could see them all disappearing as kids poach them for their room....

I've seen similar signs in other places. I just wonder how they know if you're bringing in firewood from another area. How about those little piles of firewood they sell in the grocery store? Where to they come from? I bet it's not within 50 miles of the state park.

How could they tell where it came from? Lots of campers bring their own wood from home!

I never thought about it but I think you're right--they'll have a hard time keeping teenagers from taking those signs home for their bedrooms.
