Lots of complaints here about the declining qualty of WDW burgers. Most of it relates to the bun which seems to disentegrate as you eat your burger. It is a whole grain bun, but those*can* be delicious. The WDW version is not.
Had a Sci Fi burger last year for lunch/dinner and it was very yummy and I am planning on trying one at T-Rex this year for lunch/dinner. We usually eat a good breakfast and then and early dinner and skip lunch and then have our snack later in the evening (dining plan).
While all the CS have switched to wheat buns which some report as crumbly, hadn't heard that the TS have. If they have, that's new, and I'd pick a place that isn't run by Disney if that's happened.
I heard that they were testing a "Kobe" beef burger at Yak and Yeti a few weeks ago on these boards.
This is most likely a very small amount of Wagyu beef mixed with decent quality beef to make a "Kobe" burger. So you may want to keep an eye out for that.
They have a Grilled Steak Burger at Le Cellier, I would assume it is decent.
The burgers at the Fountain in the Dolphin are very good, but this is not part of the DDP.
I had 2 very delicious burgers on my recent trip. 1 was at Sci-Fi and the other was at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. Neither one had a crappy whole wheat bun - I think that's just at CS locations. The Plaza also has a great burger. Happy eating!
Totally not true...we just had them in September and they were as good as always! This is my absolute favorite place to get a Burger...No Frills or Funky flavors! Just a Good Ole American Cheeseburger!
I loves me a good old fashioned hamburger. Sci Fi does indeed have a delicious burger. For something a little different but powerfully delicious, I would also recommend the Grilled Angus Chuck Burger at Le Cellier.
My husband has tried MANY a burger at WDW. He claims the best to be at ESPN. I personally liked this burger too and was not at all impressed with the one at B&C.
Had one @ Sci-Fi last year that was good. Was not impressed with the one at Beaches & Cream. Planning to have one at the Plaza this trip, maybe. Might have to take a peek at one to make sure it looks 'right' first, lol.
I have to say B&C first and Sci-Fi second. If you do not have your own transporation, and really want to do B&C you can easily walk throught the Internation Gateway at Epcot for lunch or dinner. They do not take ADR's so if you don't want to chance a wait (try going around 3 or 4 before the dinner crowd) then book an ADR at Sci-Fi.
