Yes mam ... we are in Rock HIll! :) We would have loved to have had her over! :)

I know she used to play bridge in a few different groups.... and She LOVES games in general... now, I'm curious, I'll have to ask her if she has ever played bunko ::yes::

I'll find her something to do on those lonely nights at home yet!!

I was just asked to become a permenant member of my neighborhood bunko group last month. I was subbing pretty regularly since moving here last summer. We play with 12 and there is always wine!

I also sub for our neighborhood group and look forward to when they call on me and always hope it's a good week so I can go. We play with 12 also and the prizes and food are always fun and very creative. I love the sound of your die cake too.

HI njcarita ... I made a cool cake ... it was square layer cake and made it with white icing. Then, I put oreos on each side to look like a die. Ontop, I put 6 oreos (cut in half) and then on each side I did a different number so it looked like one dice. I saw it is TASTE OF HOME magazine! It is not an appetizer, but it turned out neat!

i'll have to try this for next months bunco- sound s like a real fun desert-
i'm all ready down for an appetizer today

any other ideas????

The wine sounds good and the dice cake very cute and themed nicely to the game.

The group that I subbed for has 12 members and rotates houses monthly. The do the normal (at least I assume it's normal, what do I know? :rotfl: ) different munchies at each table, and appetizers and desserts at a main table. They served wine and also, each hostess has a "feature cocktail", some kind of mixed drink. It was an "East Meets West Martini" when I was there, a foofoo type martini, vary tasty. Most alcohol gives me migraines so I'm not a drinker, but it was worth taking medicine for. :teeth:

I'm thinking about starting a group in our neighborhood, but I;m not the organizing type so I'm trying to get one of the other woman to organize...

Never heard of it until one of my coworkers mentioned it...

Then, I'd run into people in my supermarket who knew me from the 'stepford' social club, but couldn't place how they knew me. Inevitably, I was asked "are you in my bunco group?'. Uh, no, never been to Bunco. The groups I'd heard abut did it with 16.
