Please post if you requested a bunkbed on your reservation and when you checked in at the WL, was one given to you ?

Also - did you check in during a busy season - ie end of June ?

It is on my reservation for June 24, 2006.
We have a teen DS and tween DD who will NOT sleep together.

I hope we get a bunkbed room assigned to us for the above reason.

Thanks !

we got one back in November 2002. I had requested it on the reservation but was told it was only a request and would not be guaranteed. We reserved a standard room and got 5th floor overlooking the service area (not the best view during the day, but at night we had a perfect view of Wishes from our room!) with bunkbeds. Hopefully if you tell them your situation they will do their best to get you the bunkbeds.

I haven't stayed there but wanted to mention that bunk beds are no longer available in the standard view rooms.

We've gotten them twice in October. Just list it first on your ressie, and the chances are pretty good you'll get one. If you don't at check in, explain and asked to be moved the next day.

We have a son and daughter, and WDW is the only place we can get bunkbeds.. When we travel, I normally get the son and my DW gets the daughter. I luck out--the daughter's a kicker :)

We received one, we've been to WL 3x and I can't remember what month that when we got a bunk bed. I know it was the courtyard view on the 6th floor. We didn't request it, but we were happily surprised that we got it! The children loves the bunkbed, it was different from the ordinary. My son slept on the top.

We checked into the WL on July 5th of this year and were given a room with bunk beds (on the concierge floor). We have 2 teen sons who won't sleep together either, so I understand, especially your situation with one boy and one girl! I hope you get the bunk beds! :)

P.S. Make sure to tell them you'll wait for a room, if it comes down to that. We had to wait a short while, less than an hour, for our room to be ready, but we didn't mind at all, especially since it was only around 12:30pm, and official check-in isn't until 3pm.

My information is a little old...we took the kids in June 1999 and July 2001. Got bunk beds both times.

As of Saturday, August 13, 2005 there are still bunkbeds available in standard rooms at the WL. Keep in mind that, as with all non-medical related requests, requests are simply requests and can not be gauranteed.

Thank you for all the replies.

I will call a month ahead (May 2006) to ask that bunkbeds be our first request.

We have Coutyard view reserved - so I am hoping for a decent view.
I hope just not a view of pine trees. I can do that here at home ;)

Should we pack an aerobed - just in case no bunk bed rooms are available ?
We are staying 14 nights - too much for sharing beds.
We arrive June 24 - when North East schools are out.
I know the resorts could be near capacity, since the Southern and Western schools are already on summer vacation.

Thanks again !

It must be something they are transitioning as several posters have been told by CM's they are no longer available when making their reservations.

Hi, we had requested a bunk bed on our reservation and got it when we went June 17-24th of this year. Hope you get it next year! :goodvibes

We requested the bunkbeds for our girls when we reserved our room at WL and were told that we were not guaranteed them. Luckily we did get them because we wouldn't have slept a wink listening to the girls talk and giggle the whole night!

SeaSpray - thank you for the wonderful pictures of the WL on your web-site.
Your famliy looks wonderful in the pictures.

The only way we could get bunkbeds in CL would be a magical bump.
It will be our 21st wedding anniversary when we go in June 2006 - but the
most we can do it our AAA rate for 14 nights - Courtyard view @ $311 per night including tax.

If AP rates come out for CL - I'll try for it.

Thanks again !

We have gotten bunkbeds on each of our stay at the WL. We have gone both peak and non peak times. Last time I made a reservation I was told that bunk beds were first given to those with children of opposite sexes, and then those that requested them.....hopefully your request will be fulfilled.

We went last October and had two connecting rooms. One room had bunkbeds and the other one didn't. I hadn't requested them but was happy to have them. The boys really liked them.

Requested bunk beds for July05-did not get them on day of check in. Was told we could get bunk beds the next day but that would have meant packing up everything-there were four of us, having it hauled down to the lobby, and then having to go off to MK. I was worrried the bunk bed room might not be ready for us when we returned from MK for afternoon break. They could not tell me what floor or what view I would get with the bunks. Had requested woods, they upgraded us to courtyard.

Bottom line, we LOVED  the fifth floor courtyard view so we decided to keep the room. Told teen daughter, I pay the college tuition bill( my sacrifice) you can sacrifice by sleeping with dear old mom for 5 nights.

In late August 2003 we had a courtyard views We had requested them. DD's, 10 and 8 then, loved them. We had to alternate nights in the top bunk. It was a great trip and a great hotel, :cool1:

Thank you again to all.

It sounds like we have a good chance of getting bunk beds on June 24, 2006.
On July 4th we have to check out and check back in for our extra 4 nights.
I will ask the front desk when we arrive - for us to keep the same room.

It is on both our reservations - our 1st reservation says we are continuing with a 2nd reservation. Our 2nd reservation references our first reservation.

I will also mention it when I call WDW a month ahead and the resort a week before we leave.

Again, thank you for all your responses.

We went June 21-July 2 and reserved two rooms for our family of five. We noted connecting rooms on our reservation but not bunk beds. On check in I asked for bunk beds and they said they had two rooms which were not connecting but side by side with one having bunks. I took it in a heartbeat since my kids are 14,18 and 21.
We were lucky!

I have requested bunks in a standard room next April so not sure what chance we have. We are in the UK and the TA has put the request on the booking details. Should I phone or fax the resort nearer the time as well?

Thanks
Helen
