bunk beds at DAKL?

I made a ressie for my dad for one night at AKL in February (they can't check into their timeshare until the next day & wanted to stay at AKL). It looks like my sister might bring a male friend with her, so two queen beds won't work. Don't they have an option that has a queen bed & a bunk bed?

There are bunk beds at AKL. You can request them, but like any other request they will not guarantee that you get one. The bunk beds are small twin size beds. There is not a lot of head room on either bunk, so that is something to think about.

All categories at AKL have bunk/queen rooms. The beds are just fine for adults. I'm sure if you stated the reason for the bunks, they'd do their best to get one.

We have been guaranteed both bunk beds and a day bed, but to do that we needed to book a Deluxe Savannah view room. Then again, that will also give you a little more space in the room, which is nice with three adults.

If they book the room with two adults and two "children" they would need to have seperate beds. While my sister & her pal are under 18, my sis is 6 foot tall, so doesn't look much like a kid! lol!

Now my dad is asking for a seperate room, but I really don't want him spending the $$.

Did someone say they had day beds in the rooms? Two queens and a day bed would probably work.

Ok, I think I get it now. I would have to change the ressie to a deluxe in order to get the day bed. The price of the room would go up, but that would be cheaper than spending another $150 - 200 on another room, right?

The Deluxe room should work for you. You could either request 2 queens and a daybed or 1 queen, 2 bunks, and a daybed.

Just tried to change the ressie. My step-mom wanted an additional room, since my sister's friend is a boy. I could not get an additional standard room at the discounted rate, and I could not get the upgrade to a deluxe at the discount. I guess I forgot to mention that they will be there Fri 2/18. Peak season, of course! I keep trying to put a sad face on my post, but I can't seem to get it! :-(
