Bunk Beds at AK &/or WL or WL camp cabin?

My DD & DS will not sleep in the same bed.
Even though we (the DH & DW) love the S/D ( 2 beds only).

We tried CR last time. My DS had the other bed and
my DD used the day bed.

Now they are asking for bunk beds.
I know AK has bunk beds. We liked Boma's, but my DH
was not impressed with the resort because it only has
bus service and no boats (or lake).

WL is a consideration. We'll do HDD next time we go to
WDW. But seeing Pine Trees does not impress us.
We have them in our yard. But WL has boats, on a lake,
boat to MK, and a fairly good pool - AND it has bunk beds.

What are the chances if we request bunk beds on our
ressie, we will get them ? Is there a view at WL which has more
bunk beds ? lake view ? pool view ? tree view (would not want) ?

How about the WL cabins ?
But I like being on vacation and enjoying someone else
making my bed and meals :) So WL cabins may not be my cup
of tea.

Has anyone asked for bunkbeds and not received them ?
We would be going during a busy time or year - Easter
Break. Would that decrease our chances.

Please help us decide.
Thanks and have a magical day :D

The Wilderness Cabins all have bunk beds, along with a full sized bed in the same room, and a murphy bed in the living room. You DO get maid service each and every day, just like at the hotels. We love the cabins, and of course their is the boat to MK, the rest is bus service. However, the two pools on property are just your average, everyday kind of pools, so if that's important to you then it wouldn't be your cup of tea.

I've never stayed at WL, but it's been my impression that you are not guaranteed bunk beds, it's only a request they'll try to meet, but I could be wrong.

Maybe another option would be one of the monorail resorts. They have the daybeds that a lot of people seem to find comfy.

Good luck!

Hi! The cabins are very nice, and the daily maid service is generally excellent, but they aren't at the wilderness lodge. They're at Fort Wilderness, the campground. You'd think they could have made up a better name for the hotel, right? You don't have access to the recreation at the Wilderness Lodge when you're staying at FW, but there is a lot to do there as well.

Transportation from the cabins generally requires a short bus ride within the campground and then another bus or boat ride to the parks. We have 2 little ones, and folding the stroller every time was a pain! I think we would like it better there with older kids, and either bike or golf cart rentals.

Bunk beds at the WL are a popular request & there's no guarentee. Is your break the week after Easter? That's the busiest week!
