Bump!!

I keep seeing word as a post on some of the threads that I'm reading. Can someone tell me what it means, please?

It means the poster is "bumping" the thread back up to the top of the page so that it can still be seen.

 

[LuvCuteBoys]

It means that the poster is bumping the thread to the top of the page... usually happens when it's buried beyond the first page.

When a thread deserves some more attention, posting under it will "BUMP" it up to the top of the list again. Make sense?

Do be aware that on many discussion forums, bumping a thread is explicitly a violation of the rules. Not so here, on the DIS, I don't think, though.

I always find it funny when someone asks a question, and 15 minutes later they post a 2nd post with "BUMP."

As if they expected someone to jump on and answer their question within 15 minutes. I see it all the time in many forums of many different subjects.
