Bump Out Questions

This is probably going to sound like a silly question but what are the pros and cons to the rooms with bump out verandahs on the new ships like the Wish, Destiny and Treasure?

We had room 8080 on the Treaaure. It was the last room before the bump out starts. The verandah was bigger than the normal midship verandahs. The room was the same as the others. I *think* it was a category 5B. Loves the extra space we had out there. It was cheaper than the bump out as well

Thank you for that helpful information!

We recently enjoyed the New Year's 2025 cruise on the Wish. We booked the cruise on Dec 12 so there were only two cabins available. We picked cabin 6166 (5C) and while not really a 'bump out' cabin the verandah had a view forward over the top of the lifeboats.

We loved the view from our verandah! Any time we were at sea it gave a more forward feeling perspective of the ship at see than a standard verandah. We enjoyed morning coffee out there every morning.

You can see in the photo (docked next to the Dream in Bahamas), the advantage of a bump out is you get a bit of a different view and in some cases a bit larger verandah. The cabin itself is exactly the same as all the other Wish verandah cabins we've stayed in.

The thing we didn't like about 6166 on the Wish was how far aft it was from the aft elevators/stairs. It was a trek.

We were in 8620 on the Wish, the verandah was oddly shaped but my mom was in 8622 so we had one big verandah.

6622 on the Wish . This was my verandah. I was on the curve of the bump. It was a nice balcony but really didn’t use it much on a 3 night cruise.

We got 7140 on the Wish from a GTY room and we had a really large balcony! It was a great surprise
