Every year that I can remember our special laundry training has been at our largest laundry customer, Walt Disney World. Well this year is my turn and I am about ready to fly to Dallas, Texas for the training. :confused3 Now there is nothing wrong with Dallas, but I had time left on my annual pass that I could have used, and I could have been on the hunt for wildeoscar.

The good news is my DW and I will be at WDW in July (41 days, but who's counting).:cool1:

Alright ScubaD, I'll be the one to ask the stupid question...just gotta know, what's involved in special laundry training? Sorry, I know, there's one of us in every crowd! :)

Hello Stroller Boy,

In the industry there are large laundry washers called "tunnels" that can produce upwards of 3500 - 6000 pounds of washed linen per hour. In order for them to run at optimum efficiency you need proper water flow, energy usage, loading, chemistry, etc. Disney naturally washes "tons" of linen each day and is a natural choice for training.

In a nutshell, my goal this week is to come back to my customers and assist them in optimizing their equipment, their labor, and our chemicals to save them money in all aspects of their operation.

Hope this helps.

Wow! That is a bummer!

so what you are saying is, I would be finally able to get to socks and undies clean in just one load?

Bummer! DH is flying out to Dallas this afternoon too. It is hot and humid, by all reports. So, at least the weather can help you PRETEND you are at WDW.

Dang, that's pretty cool stuff! Anytime large machinery and heavy duty motors are involved, it's gotta be cool. :moped:
