Does anyone know if this is true? The CM last night told me that I can only book 1 room with my AP because I have to be the lead on the reservation. I really thought I could book more than one room at a time? Is that not correct? Also, help me understand this...I can get the AP rate at POP for the room only but cannot get the AP rate and add the dining plan. She said that the AP dining package for that night is sold out. How is that possible? I understand that they only allow so many rooms to go to AP discounts but why does it matter if I get the dining plan or not?

You can only book 1 room with the AP since you need to be on the reservation (or whoever holds the AP). If more than 1 person in your party has an AP, then you can book a second room under their name. I would call back today about the dining plan. There is no discount on the dining plan, you pay full price with the AP. You get a discount on the room but not on the dining plan so I don't understand why they would say it is sold out???? :sad2:

Probably no availability for that particular package at the resort/room view they want.
There may be availability somewhere else. :confused3 And availability is very fluid, depending on others cancelling, rebooking, etc.
Always worth a try another time if you set on a particular resort or room type.

You used to be able to book up to 3 rooms with the AP discount, but they changed it 2-3 years ago to be only one room per AP.
Have you tried the online booking to see if you can get dining with the AP discount on your dates?

I think the CM is wrong in regards to the dining plan, I think they were looking at an AP dining package instead of just adding the DP to a room only AP rate. We have only did it twice but each time I was able to add a DP to my AP room only ressie.

I booked 2 rooms last Sept w/ just one AP. If they link the other reservations to you, somehow you are able to book 2 rooms under one AP. They have the other reservations linked to your name or something.

I did it by making both reservations at the same time - you just need to have all of the birthday, address & contact info for all of the people in the rooms.

However, if you do AP rates for 2 rooms, all people in both rooms need to have the same "package" as you. Meaning that if you add dining, everyone must do dining & you can't book park tickets as part of the package - you must buy those separately.

Also, saying that the dining package is sold out sounds nuts to me. True they could be out of AP rates for that resort, but to be out of the dining doesn't really make sense.

Sometimes it depends on the CM you get.

Best thing to do is call up and play dumb. Assume you can book 2 rooms w/ your AP, don't mention that someone told you you couldn't and you'll probably have better luck. :thumbsup2

It sounds to me like what you were asking to do is book an AP ticketless package with a AP room discount. Just as with any other promotion Disney offers, they only authorize so many rooms for each one.

In your case, the number of those rooms must be gone.
