Hi Everyone!! Happy Saturday!!

I have a question for all those who have been building with the Gingerbread Items.
I want to make a 2-story house and I'm not sure how the whole Roof thing works. When I make a perfect square the roof won't reach all the way over. (not sure if it's supost too or not)
But my question is, Do you have to fill in the middle of the house with stuff in order to build up.??
For example I want to make a house that looks similar to the house in Yavn Speaks
.

In the new esplanade pictures it shows like....block/crate type items. I'm guessing those are used to fill the inside but what I did was used the extra walls I had inside to I could put things on top. Hope that helps! :goodvibes

Yes, you will need to use something to support those pieces in the middle.

lol its esplanade!
:rotfl:

Thanks!

Now my next question is, What items will add up to the same height as the Gingerbread Walls?? Tried crates and ice, by themselves and then combined, but nothing. I have to go round up all my stackable "junk" to see what I can get all the same height!

Thanks!

I found nothing the same size, so I just bought more walls.

Drat, I was hoping not to spend more credits just fill the middle up. I have alot of middle to fill!! Oh man, back to ghosts and pirates for me!

Has anyone else found some sort of items that will match up to the height of the Gingerbread Walls??

Thanks for all your help,
fantasy

I think nine crates would be similar if not the same as one wall. I definitely found out in my case, since I quickly ran out of crates:(, buying one wall per nine crates was actually cheaper. For any four square room, four walls and roof, you will need three walls to fill in the middles, or 27 crates, travel boxes, ice cubes, etc. I know the ice and travel boxes are equal in size and the crates a bit smaller. however, the roof sides used backwards can also make filler under the roof and may be a bit taller than the crates.:)

Hope this helped some...:)

I think (not sure) 2 pirate walls equals a gingerbread wall. Give it a try.

I tried everything for fill including crates, pirate walls, sparrow chests(Which are the closest) etc. In the end it was always off a little bit so the roof wouldn't line up. Finally I purchased the extra walls and used them. I might have spent more would have saved so much time(I could have used this time playing Mansion to pay for them lol). Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I'm making my house a little bit bigger so I can put a second story on it so I'm going to need alot of walls.!! That might be the thing now that there is a Quest out with Walls. We will just have to see. :)

And the Pirate walls look like they line up, but don't :sad2:

VMK I need those Gingerbread Box Crates!! LoL :) :thumbsup2

Here are the gingerbread crates that people were talking about:

I think the crates will come out some time soon, and will be cheap(or they should.. we know how that goes). 20 Credits a piece seemsgood to me.

Heh Fantasy your not the only one with building problems -sigh!- I myself triying to build that gingerbread house..that middle is hard to fill hope those crates are not to expensive I'll be poor before this month end. I guess I'll also be in the Mansion Lobby:rotfl:If your up for a game let me know-(I'm not that great so u have a BIG-EDIT:HUGE!!- chance of winning:rotfl2:

Good luck with the building I bet you'll make it :):santa:

Okay, so I gave in and did the Gingerbread walls. A 3x3 house needs 27 Walls inside to fill the middle. :faint: And then I still have the second floor to do. LoL I don't want to buy any more plain walls just incase they do come out with the fill in Crate Boxes. This is harder than I thought it would be.!!

Oh another question... Where do the Steeple Pieces go? On the very top right.?? I'm sorry for such a silly question, the Gingerbread house building is getting to me big time!

I know, I'm as impatient as you. But it will be easier once they come out with the rest of the pieces. The gingerbread crates will help, I'm waiting, hopefully they really will be available. Why is it always easier to build a room to the month's theme, once the month is over!!

I used pirate walls and it worked just fine:) Two stacked on top of each other wored great for me.

The pirate walls are a good hight. The difference is negligible unless you need it to be even, for putting on an flat roof or roof tiles this will not probably be an issue. 1 gingerbread wall = 2 pirate walls + 2 ALR rugs same hieght.

The roof tiles seem to line up almost better if they are a bit recessed.

The alice walls also work but the difference is much greater and they are not as long. 1 gingerbread wall = 2 ALR walls + 1 POC DMC + 1 ALR rug same hieght if I remember correctly. Can't forget the value of random free DMC
