Hi everyone. When we were at WDW last, there was a building in the trees east of the Contemporary Resort. What is it?

If it has a green roof that would be the Wilderness Lodge. Not sure if that is East or not.

No. I guess it is not a disney hotel. The workers said they were not allowed to talk about it. It is off the back where the pools are, you can see it from the third floor. It looks pretty big.

Looking at google earth, bay lake is to the east. The only buildings I see nearby are wilderness lodge and mk buildings. ????

I did the same thing. With an image date of January 2013, so unless it went up super fast....

Are you perhaps talking about Discovery Island? I know as you take the boat over to Ft. Wilderness, you can see the old buildings there as you pass the island. Perhaps you can see from the CR as well?

You may be seeing the Four Seasons resort, which has a grand opining in 2014.

I haven't been out behind the Contemporary for a few months, so I'm not sure of the view, but I know that the depending on the tree-line, the Four Seasons is quite large, so that'd be my guess. Next time I'm on property I'll see if I can get a picture to confirm.

You can see it from the third floor over by the vacation club desk. The guy working there did not want to tell us what it was, but he did say Disney did not own that piece of property there. It looks like a big hotel going up.
