The Dole Whip is just the soft serve "ice cream" and the float is the ice cream with pineapple juice...that sounds way too pineapple-y to me!

It is, but not if you get vanilla ice cream with pineapple juice... then it is like a creamsicle and it is delicious! :)

I've had quite a few off that list... the Nutella waffle from Sleepy Hollow is on my MUST EAT list for this upcoming trip. I actually want to try all of the waffle sandwiches they have there!

I agree - October can't get here soon enough. And May 24th can't get here soon enough either :thumbsup2 The next two weeks are crazy here as I wind down my classes and get all the finals created and graded. But rather bitter sweet as Katie finishes middle school - and homeschooling - and Madalyn graduates from 5th grade, too.

I saw Chip's list online - and here are my answers in red:

Magic Kingdom

1. Dole Whip - Aloha Isle
2. Dole Whip Float - Aloha Isle
3. Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar - Ice Cream Carts
4. Mickey Mouse shaped Pretzel - Frontierland Pretzel Wagon
5. Popcorn - popcorn carts
6. Hot Dog - Casey's Corner
7. Nutella and fresh fruit waffle sandwich - Sleepy Hollow
8. Funnel Cake - Sleepy Hollow
9. Rice Krispie Treat - Main Street Confectionery
10. Hamburger & fixings - Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
11. The "Plaza" Ice Cream Sundae - Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
12. Lobster Roll - Columbia Harbour House
13. Mickey Mouse Waffle - Crystal Palace
14. New England Pot Roast - Liberty Tree Tavern
15. Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake - Liberty Tree Tavern
16. Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel - Lunching Pad
17. Citrus Swirl - Sunshine Tree Terrace

So...I sort of fudged ;) - I've never had the funnel cake at Sleepy Hollow - but we always get one in America at Epcot. Also, the Lobster Roll - we always get that during the food and wine festival - and I am pretty sure it's the same.

The dole whip is pineapple soft serve - the float is the pineapple soft serve with pineapple juice. If you don't like pineapple, you should try the citrus swirl - I actually like that one better. It's vanilla soft serve swirled with frozen OJ - yum!!

we are going to LTT in May - but I don't think I want the pot roast. And I don't know that I want the nutella waffle - but I do want the chicken one :thumbsup2

I always thought the Dole Whip had the pineapple juice in it... that's why I couldn't think what was different between the two. But the Whip is just pineapple soft serve? Well, that makes sense... the "Float" is the one with the juice.

I've had about half of those treat---and there's a reason I haven't had the others.....;)

Your last month sounds about like mine. Good news is that the busier it is, the faster it goes by!

Not much trip planning has been going on lately… the last few days have been busy, busy, busy. Unfortunately, our schedule for the next month is completely insane. :crazy2: Volleyball practice/games, 3 birthday parties (one of which is for Shane… his 40th!), Field Day, volleyball camp, Teacher Appreciation Week, 5 (yes… FIVE) field trips, last day of school, oldest DD's 5th grade graduation. And that's just what I can recall off the top of my head.

In related news, our beach vacation in June cannot get here fast enough. :beach:

But getting back to Disney-related items...

Our room is booked, ADRs have been made… we still have to buy our MNSSHP tickets. I haven't heard the official word yet, but the tickets were rumored to go on sale today. I know we won't wait until the last minute, but I don't think we need to worry about the date we want selling out so I'm not sure when I'll get around to ordering tickets.

Anyway, to help pass the time until October arrives, here's something fun I found awhile back on Chip and Company... 100 Disney Foods to Eat Before You Die! Here are the MK foods (I'll post them by park/location, and the ones I've had are in purple): Edited to my version below

I have had a Rice Krispies treat, but it was at the Wishes Dessert Party, not from the Main Street Confectionery... does that still count? ;) The only items on this list that I'd still like to try would be the Mickey shaped pretzel, the Plaza sundae, and possibly the Nutella waffle sandwich. I don't think I'll ever try a Dole Whip, as I'm not a big fan of pineapple (and what is the difference between that and the Dole Whip Float? :confused3 )

How many of these MK foods have you had?

Wow! That sounds like a very busy schedule! It sounds like you'll be very much in need of that beach vacation by the time it rolls around :cool2:

How many of these Epcot foods have you had?

There are so many good things I have had that are not on this list! Like a Mango smoothie in China, a funnel cake in America, the Napoleon or strawberry tart in France. 20 more days!!

Since I don't drink, there are several on this list I haven't had. But - I do think I need to put the crepes on my list for this summer! And the school bread that everyone raves about - I don't do coconut - so I'm not having that. But there are lots of other yummies in Norway!

I must shamefully admit that I have only tried one of those...and it would be the most horrible item on the list....the Beverly! :scared1:

The schoolbread is the one thing I haven't tried on this list that I am definitely planning on eating in October. Wow now I'm hungry!

Or a strawberry smoothie! ;)

I don't care for coconut either, so no school bread for me. But maybe this will be the time I try your favorite strawberry tart from France! :thumbsup2

I have a Disney cookbook for kids... just the other day the girls were looking through it, and H wants me to make the crepes sometime.

I must shamefully admit that I have only tried one of those...and it would be the most horrible item on the list....the Beverly! :scared1:

Oh, the Beverly... I have a photo from my trip last year of my sister and friend trying the Beverly for the 1st time. I'll have to see if I can find it... the look on their faces is priceless!

I hope you get to try it!

Well, we're still playing the waiting game. I know I'm not the only one who looks at the calendar, wishing the days to go by faster, right? ;)

Counting today, there are 24 Sundays until we leave for our trip! So I thought as another way to (hopefully) make the time go by faster, I'd post a Random WDW Photo of the Week (plus it seemed to be well-received on my 1st PTR!)

I can't wait to see this beautiful sight again!

I love the idea of for your photo of the week, AND the photo you chose is just perfect! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Our October trip is still up in the air at this point, but I'm following along on your PTR to keep me motivated! October is my most favorite time of year to be in the World. *sigh* :tink:

I'm with you 100%! I need time to go faster!

I like the photo and random fact every week idea. It's something fun to pass the time!

Last trip I did a photo of the day I emailed to my mom who was going with us (it was her first trip!) with a little caption of what it was, where it was etc for the last 30 days of our countdown. I think she expects me to do it again this trip :lmao:

Turns out I've actually tried more than I realized. You can tell we don't spend a lot of time eating in America, China or Morrocco, though. :rotfl:

Glad y'all like the photo!

I hope you get to go in October, Chrysty! This will be my 3rd time going in October. I've also been in August/September (last year) and as a kid I went during March and May (but I really don't remember much about those trips). I think October is the perfect time to visit WDW!

LOL! Yeah, I haven't done any eating in Morocco... don't think I ever will, to be honest! Moroccan food just doesn't appeal to me.
