Hi, we're staying at Pop Century in Sept and would like to stay in either the 50s or 70s on the fourth floor. Please could anyone who has stayed in these buildings tell me which are the best rooms to ask for. Also which building is the best, or is there not a lot between them.

Thanks in advance
Lyndon :thumbsup2

We stayed in the 50's 4th floor facing the lake, the lake rooms are a lot quieter and you get to see reflections from there as well.:yay:

We stayed on the 4th floor facing the lake in the 70s building. It was really great, so quiet and relaxing.
We were able to get to our room and relax in peace and quiet.

We could see the higher fireworks from illuminations from our window and we could also see the top of TOT.

This is the view from our room,

Fantastic view, we are staying in Sept also, it will be the first time for the POP.

Have booked the preferred room, not sure what building that will be.

I think the 60s is a preferred building not sure whether any other building is.

We stayed in the 50's building top floor over looking the lake and I loved going out in the morning and watching the wild life on the lake, very quiet and peaceful.

We stayed in the fifties building, ground floor, right by the bowling pin pool and loved it! The pool was literally outside of our door and it was only a 2 min walk to the food court.

Can you ask for a room you want if so is their an email address I can use realy good view from your room.
:yay: We go in august cant wait

What a lovely view from that room!

I never knew POP had such nice surroundings?

Would love a room with a view like that.Did you request that block with a lake view or were you just lucky?
Thanks

I faxed them a request, you need to do it about 4/5 days before you arrive. :goodvibes

Really sorry, i have only just caught up with this thread. We were lucky really. We had originally requested the 50s top floor, non smoking with a lake view. Airtours said they would let Pop know our requests. When we arrived at check in they hadnt been told of our requests and the 50s building was now full. I was very disappointed.
She said she had space in the 70s, so i said can i have the other requests that i wanted then, namely top floor, non smoking with a lake view. That wasnt a problem and this was the room we were given.
We were actually really pleased that the 50s were full as our room was great. The view was fantastic and the room was at the very corner of the building so we only had neighbours on one side.

The room number we had was 6436 if thats any help to you.:goodvibes

Thanks Jen & Leanne for all the info,I did request a non smoking room in the 70's block when I booked at Thomas Cook but I still think I'll fax Pop direct.
Thanks again :goodvibes :wizard:

We stayed in 70's 3rd floor (couldn't get 4th) and it was great. Lovely and quiet but still nearby the food court and 60's pool. The 50's has it's own pool and we thought it seemed noisy at night when we went out for a walk. Ring the hotel direct a few weeks before you go as they won't have your details until then.
