Build Your Own Lightsaber at Walt Disney World

I'm waiting for the "Build Your Own Jack Sparrow" personally.

I totally want to do this, though. It looks like fun!

ETA: This was my 1000th post!

:rotfl:
Congrats on your 1000th!!

This is sooooo cool!!! We're going for Christmas. I guess DS just got an extra gift! :darth: Although I'm betting DH will want one too!

it sounds like there are other build your own items at wdw. if there is, can anyone tell me about them? thanks

At the Once Upon A Toy store in DTD, the are areas where you can build a Mr. Potato head, a My Little Pony, and now build a Lightsaber.

Cool!! :thumbsup2 I will be surprising DNeph with a DTD stop on our way to the hotel for SWW (if they ever announce the dates so I can book my plane fare  ) - he is going to LOVE this - what a great souvenir !!! :darth:

cool! My DS will be soooo excited! How does it work? Do you make a reservation or is it just first come-first served?

Okay...well, if we are going to take the build-your-own-Jack-Sparrow route, I want a build-my-own-Will-Turner-looking-more-like-Legolas-Prince of Mirkwood-so-wrap-Orlando-in-a-bow-and-deliver-him-to-my-resort to go please!! :rotfl2:

Okay, my husband would not like that, but I can still admire a beautiful thing when I see it, right? :confused3 He keeps saying he hopes I never meet Wentworth Miller, because he may never see his wife again. ;)

Okay - sorry for changing the post subject....back to the Build-Your-Own Lightsaber!

I haven't decided if I'm going to tell DS about this or just surprise him on our trip. I agree that they should put this by the Star Tours ride, but having it at DTD is okay since we stay at SSR. Someone should post their pics once they have built their lightsaber!

The trick now is to tell my DS7 now or closer to the trip (9/07). He will talk of this non-stop if we tell him now, but it's seems to be a way too cool experience not to tell him.

Didn't see this posted anywhere, but from the photos the parts look the same at the "build your own lightsaber kit" available at most toy stores. The kits are more expensive, but you get all the parts available. Of course you don't get the pin.

The parts do look very similar to the kits available at most stores. But this would be much more fun as it is an experience! My son (not to mention myself) are going to have fun with this come February!

Don't get me wrong...both my boys already have the kits, but we WILL still do this in Jan!! They have about 5 lightsabers already, plus santa is bringing them the "force action" lightsaber for xmas!!

This is very very cool :thumbsup2 My uhh... DS... uhh.. DD.. uhh... ok ok so I have no DS or DD yet... :lmao: I am excited about this  Definetly will be spending some extra time at DTD this trip I guess :thumbsup2
