Build a Bear

I know this is a bit too late for Christmas but I had to pass along our good luck. (for once it was good luck ) Anyway, I had a coupon for $5 off an animal that expired at the end of the year and wanted to use it for a Christmas present. An employee suggested I get the animal, skin only, to give to DD5 for X-mas and she was able to take it back and have the fun of stuffing and dressing it, etc. I never knew this was even a possibility!! As an added bonus, I had enough stamps on their version of a frequent buyer card, don't know what it is called and DD got her bear's outfit free ($10). All in all, the whole thing cost me about $12.00!! Made my day!!

that's really a nice idea.... we have to travel to Chicago or St.Louis to go to Build a Bear....but we do go there every trip it seems....dd12 has alot of bears,cats, dogs and assorted outfits,etc.!

There is a promotion next weekend for a free tiara when you either bring in or buy their new purple horse. I bought one for my DD right before Christmas and they gave me a little tiara shaped card to remind me. I don't know if the tiara is the for the child or the horse!

I can relate to your excitement. We were in Manhatten this week. Grandpa wanted to take dd5 to the bear factory (build a bear) and didn't realize what he was getting himself into. I had 3 stamped cards for a total of 9 stamps. I was able to use the cards with my purchase plus a $5 off 25 coupon. DD got a $14 bear with hearts, $5 New York sound, $11 New York outfit and a free build a bear calendar for $19 total which includes the outrageaous NYC taxes. I didn't have the heart to tell grandpa that we have a build a bear at our local mall and the Manhatten store was just too crowded for us since he lives in Manhatten he doesn't know the difference.

There was a wicked long queue to get into the Build a Bear at Burlington Mall yesterday... I couldn't believe it.

Same here in Buffalo, the lines were unreal all week long. I know I was at the mall shopping for deals 3 times this week. I actually was in line at BaB on Friday. We were lucky though for a short time the line was not too bad only had to wait 20 minutes. Yet just moments after entering the line more than tripled after that.

The info that I have come on a cardboard tiara that was attached to either the horse or the acessories we bought. It is shaped like a tiara and says:

Come Back For Glittery Pony Weekend
Sat and Sun Jan 7 & 8
FREE PURPLE PRINCESS CROWN when you buy or bring in a Glittery Pony this weekend only! (Free gift while supplies last)

So if you bought one you have to bring it back.

I have 2 10 gift cards I was allowed to purchase for 5.00 when we bought the horse. It was some promotional thing I didn't question it I just gave her the extra 10.00 so DD now has 20.00 to spend. Her BAB has more clothes that she does I think!
