Build a Bear Summer Reading Program...FREE

The coupon does say to use toward purchase of a Read teddy or any furry friend, but I would imagine that it would depend on the person working there, If you could explain that you already have a furry friend and wish to purchase clothes(which would cost just as much if not more) they might honor your request, it's worth a try anyway. We will be using ours to purchase furry friends, but I'll ask when I go if it's possible and let you all know, but it will probably vary from store to store.

Okay, I must be doing something wrong but I can not find it on the website. Does anyone have the link to share?

Oops, sorry, I did not look at the 2 page of this topic.
I found it. THANKS

We got to pick a prize (DD choose a small stuffed bear) and she used the $5.00 certificate and my $10.00 filled punch card and spend $20.00 of her $ for pet sitting. She is a regular and has had several parties there so they all know her. They asked her if she was using her $5.00 today or coming back.....silly quesiton.

I am new to Build a Bear, what is pet sitting? Oh, sorry a little slow this morning, you mean she earned 20.00 from a job of pet sitting :flower3:

Thank you again for the post OP! We went in yesterday and got the coupons and the bookmarks (grap bag gift). My Mom was along and got my oldest a cat that she has been begging for. Not bad with the 5 off and Mom had some cards (stamped from build a bear from prior purchases) that when totaled made up enough for another 10 off of one animal.

I know they didn't have an age limit for how young they could be. We had stopped in one time and asked if we could do it reading to my son (age 5). They said that was just fine. Yesterday we turned in our logs (both at once) for him and I had also printed some out for DD who just turned 2 (yesterday! :flower: ). I didn't know if they would allow it for her, but when I asked at the counter, the lady said it was fine. So, they both got coupons and a pick out of the prize container. Unfortunately, they were down to only 2 choices left, but the kids didn't know there had been more. So, they were thrilled: Rachel with her "Bearemy" bookmark and Clayton with his "Top Dog" blue ribbon.

What a fun program! Thanks for the posting! I would never have known about it otherwise.

Are all Build-a-Bear's offering this?
I think so because the form is printed off thier international website. The coupon expires Sept 30th 2005. The kids went to Build a Bear as part of Dd's Birthday gift we went and the kids chose 10.00 bears so at the end they were 15.00 for all 3 plus tax. A neat thing that I didn't know they did was to personalize thier bears with ribbons, Dd received pink ribbons for the ears, tail and neck, since she is a girl, the boys each received Green and Red ribbons to go around thier bears necks. They also gave us a punch card to receive 10.00 off a purchase after the card was filled in. I've never seen the kids so attached to a toy, they slept with them last night and have been giving them hugs regularly. They felt like they helped create them and are proud of thier bears!! :goodvibes

Ok, I printed out the list. Two questions: we are already doing the Barnes and Noble reading program, can she use the books she's already read for that? And can we just fill in both part 1 and 2 of the form and take them in at the same time? The nearest build a bear is 2 hrs away and we just happen to be going to the mall it is in tomorrow. I would rather do all this then LOL.
I would use the same books for both programs, unless your daughter has read enough to make two lists. I wouldn't consider it cheating at all. They work hard to read those books, let them get everything they deserve!

Thanks for this post, my poor, but very nice children, will be very excited about this! (sorry I couldn't resist that)
