Has anyone made a bear at the Build-A-Bear workshop in Downtown Disney?

How much do they cost? They sound so cute! Does anyone have any photos of the bear they made? I've heard you can also get Disney themed clothes for the bears too :)

They range in price from about $10 to around $22 or so. They aren't just bears--they have dogs, cats, special ones like for St. Patrick's. Go to buildabear.com to get an idea.

my daughter bought a cute Tinker Bell outfit for the bear she made there. I can't remember what the outfit cost but I don't think it was more than $15.00 and I think the bear was $18.00.

Expect a minimum of $15 and you can easily add on stuff to hit over $50. The site will give you a general idea of what you can buy and plan your designs.

Sound is $1 to $8 for a custom and my mother has one that had $3 sound.

My next bear will cost me $38 to $40 as I love that outfit.

Expect to spend half an hour or more in the store as you do stuff to make your own bear. The good thing is that when you register the bear there is a thing inside that stores can use to find the owner.

Awe, I wish I had my USB cord so I could upload pictures. Each stuffed animal can cost you 10 plus dollars. Both my kiddos picked a panda and yes they have disney clothes! I saw the princess dresses, toy story outfits... My dd dressed hers up in a tigger costume and ds went with batman pjs, shoes, and mickey pirate ears. I think it cost 60 or 70 for the 2 pandas and their outfits.

The last time I was in Build-a-Bear to actually watch a bear being made from start to finish was in 2001. I have only popped in there briefly since then. But the way it worked back then was that you would choose your animal skin/fur (back then it was mostly bears, but now there are all kinds of animals to pick - no pigs, though - my friend asked last year!), then you stuff it, close it up (you can put a heart or a voice chip in there too if you want it, I think), fluff the fur, give the bear a 'bath,' dress it in the outfits you choose (back in 2001, not as many Disney outfits or accessories; nowadays, they have a lot more), sit down at the computer and give your bear a name, get a birth certificate, have a ceremony (my friends had to put their hands over their hearts and swear to do something or another, and the employees - I forget what they call themselves - made them yell at the top of their lungs in the store, "I LOVE MY BEAR!!!!!"), and then they put the bear in the box with the little airholes and you buy it and off you go. It really is a cute process and fun for adults and kids alike. I am not sure if the whole process is the same now as it was in 2001, but I imagine it is similar.

Check in the Orange County free magazines they have in places like hotels and airports--there's almost always a $5 off coupon (purchase of $25+) and they will let you stack them. I found a couple of $5 off purchase of $10 or more bear in some kid magazines and used them on our trip last month, along with the other $5 off coupons. We also had a cashier who gave us extra discounts and I have a Stuff 4 Stuff card so we got a lot of deals. We had $90 worth pre-discount and our total cost after discounts was $40.

Whenever we take DD to Build-a-Bear she spends at least $50. We go about 3 times a year because she loves going and it's her reward for straight A's. Here's a picture of the bear she made at DTD.

She showed it to Ariel during the parade and Ariel put her hands to her heart and mouthed thank you to her. It made my daughter's day.

Actually my daughter just went to a birthday party at Build-a-Bear last night. (Not in Disneyland). They have many Disney options. My daughter was allowed to pick out any outfit and you know my well trained daughter of course picked out a Disney outfit.:lmao: She chose Tinkerbell. I got this picture emailed to me from the birthday girl's mom. It doesn't show the Tinkerbell outfit real well but you get the idea. It even came with a little green wand.

Myself and granddaughter went to disneyland last April. We went to the build a bear. She made a black lab and got the heart beat and a new outfit. That was over 50.00.

I ordered a gift card from the BAB website and gave it to my DS during our Christmas trip to Disneyland (I tucked it inside a Mickey stocking). :) The gift card was for $40 and he got a bear, and two outfits. I had to add on a little bit more (under $5), but it was good to have the card to start with, as it was already budgeted and paid for. :)

Here is a pic of a bear I made in DTD ( The ears are from the park) :goodvibes

Very very cute! I was looking at that outfit when we were there and that's what I would've chosen, but my DS was the one who was making a bear. Actually he chose the reindeer (since it was Christmas time), and he put the Buzz Lightyear outfit on it. It was really cute withe the antlers coming out from a space helmet! :)

Long Story about this Build a Bear, but here's MONKAY(the Name of this Build a bear) Around Disneyland!

TheParsec - those are so cute! I love that theme of taking one stuffed animal or object (like a PEZ dispenser, which I have seen before) and putting it in random surroundings for pictures. So clever! I also love the one of Monkay at the piano!

And that is one very well hidden Hidden Mickey - one of the better ones, I'd say - but I found it!!!

I just bought a $50 gift card at Costco for $40. Also if you get on their mailing list... they will send you coupons too. Usually their are $5 off printable coupons floating around the internet but I just did a search and only found expired coupons for now (new ones may come out later). I am pretty sure Annual Pass holders get 10% off too. I love downtown disney's build-a bear better than any other. They have stuff there that you can not get at other build-a bear locations such as disney themed outfits. We always visit Build-a Bear and the Lego store when we go to DTD... it is one of the many things my son looks forward to. :o)

At your local Costco? Was this recently? I am just wondering whether they still have them.
