We are looking for a reputable place to purchase an extended warranty for a Buick SUV. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!!! 😊

I would stay clear of those robocalls selling extended car warranties. I think there's a thread about it here. My local news did a series of investigative reports on them. Just horrible. According to Clark Howard, the most reliable is to get one directly from the manufacturer of the vehicle.

I agree, most are shady operations and they are mostly selling those to make money for themselves. The fine print likely excluded many things from their warranty. If buying a new car, I would check with the dealer to see what they offer. Other things to consider is how long you plan to keep the vehicle and how many miles you will put on it.

Thank you everyone! In the past someone on DIS Boards recommended a place in Montana for our Chrysler and they were very reasonable and it was very inclusive.

I have purchased extended warranties on several cars and never had them pay a penny*. I bought one from Toyota on the Camry Hybrid we bought last year because, frankly, the amount of technology in the car is frightening.
I know full and well that they know that they are charging more for the warranty than they will pay out to the typical customer.
I have a 2018 Ford Flex that will be three years old next month and I have to decide if I want an extended warranty. With Ford my frustration is how short the warranty time period is they offer, only 8 years, which is from the date of sale of the car, so it is really only 5 years. But the mileage it goes to is nuts, like 150,000 miles. I'm looking for 10 years minimum, and much lower mileage. The Flex is a month short of 3 years old and has 11,000 miles on it, so a warranty with 85,000 miles would be more than enough. That's what I have on the Toyota.
*Actually I had one repair on a Dodge with a Chrysler extended warranty that in the fine print of the warranty was not covered. The heater core. And on a Ford, I had the fuel pump go out that the extended warranty denied, but in that case, it was because Ford had a bad batch of fuel pumps and they had a "secret" warranty for 10 years or 100,000 miles on the fuel pump.

I always buy the extended warranty because if they want to screw me over , they are going to have to run that past Warranty . Also figure, the price I paid for that extended warranty helps with future increase in prices .
In other words I know I’m getting screwed ... one way or another.

I have one for Toyota and I find it useless I think better off wit money instead of arguing with dealer about there disclaimers and non coverage
