Bugs at Poly

I mean i do see that it's a great hotel, but i also heard someone found a dead - bird eating tarantula!!



So, Poly is second on the list now for me! LOL, WL, Contemporary or AKL... Mhmm? Which shall it be? Hehe

WTH!!! I have been around here for a while and have never heard of a tarantula at WDW! Are you sure? I didn't think that they even lived in FL

Nope, those don't live in FL at all. Most likely someone saw a dead wolf spider and overreacted.

That does it!! We're staying at SSR again this November, and I will ask for the newest building, in hopes of avoiding the whole situation. We've got enough things for our 'mature' minds to grapple with. Worrying about bugs is not going to be on the agenda.

Sorry that truly will not help, the newest building at SSR was opened in June and by then even they could have bed bugs.

Bed bugs and bugs of many varities are just something you have to possibly deal with if you travel.

I am never known of a case of bed bugs that were not visible on the furniture and mattress though so the time to check is when you arrive in room.

Umm, let's not confuse the Poly with a certain famous multi-part episode of Brady Bunch in Hawaii that featured a tarantula, a tiki doll, Vincent Price, and Greg Brady wiping out in a tasty wave.

If there are any tarantulas in Florida, it is because they escaped someone's cage in their house, and not because of the Poly itself.
