Hi Guys,

A quick buggy question if that is ok, we are heading off to the world in february and have only the buggy situation to solve. We have 2 girls a 3and a half year old and a 21 month old so wil need a doulbe buggy. We have decided not to take our phil & ted and either buy or hire a double for while we are away.

Have any of you hired a buggy will at the world from orlando stroller rentals? How did it work out.

Thankyou in advance for the help :thumbsup2

Agree with London buy a cheap one when you get there or before you go

I too would buy cheap ones, but i do know there are companies you can hire from, they will deliver to and from your hotel.

Dont know if this will suit your plans but when we went a couple of years ago we decided to travel quite light and have a shopping day towards the start of our holiday and went to Florida Mall where they have a toys r us the other side of the road and we bought a very cheap double buggy there (Umbrella style) and it lasted the 3 weeks and left it at our hotel at the end of the stay. Hope this helps.

If you decide to buy a cheap buggy I suggest You research whats available first as when we looked at the cheapbuggys they were very basic and the handles very low!
This in my opinion would cause a poblem after the first few days.

Personally id say have a look on ebay for a cheapy buggy b4 you go that way you know how it works and you can check it out before you leave as well as having something to keep the littleones in at the airport:-)

Orlando strollers get a good review by many on here though just personally I think its a lot of money to hire one when you could buy one and have it for future trips :-)

We were in the same position last year and decided to buy a double stroller when we got to Florida, ie Walmart etc.

However, we always stay on site and therefore had our initial three days already booked up doing disney parks our forth day was a water park and our next 2 were again disney.

Before we realised it we had spent over $200 dollars hiring double strollers in the parks simply due to not having yet ventured away from been "on site".

This year, we are planning on buying a cheap as chips double stroller. I was looking this moring coincidently and spotted this one at mothercare

My Mum kept an eye out at the local charity shops and got us two great buggies for £5 each, for that money you can't grumble! the one is on it's 3rd trip!

There are some great bargains to be had if you keep you eyes peeled!

We had looked at them at Disney and Walmart, but as Louise said the cheaper ones seem to be really low down - this would be trouble for my DH's back so we were pleased that we didn't rely on getting them there - plus we needed to contain the kids at the airport by strapping them into the buggy, I don't think I could have coped with luggage and chasing kids around the airport too! :rotfl:

We have found a cheep double in walmart $85 Jeep one which gets really good reviews, we are also tralling netmums and have identified a few there. Its a tough one and once again many thanks for the help :)

We are in a similar position,

Last time we went we had the two kids 11 month and 2.5, so we only took our Mclaren and the condo had a small stroller we borrowed for our elder son, it was small enough to tuck in the back of our Mclaren and use it towards the end of the day when Cullen got tired.

This time, we have three children, who will be 12 months, 3 and just 5 when we go. We will obviously need our Mclaren for Ariana but I certainly don't want to have to add another stroller to our luggage, when it will already include 1 stroller and 3 carseats plus bags.

I think we might bite the bullet when we get there and buy or hire (haven't decided which) a double buggy. Which will have the baby in it and 1 or other of the boys who needs a rest. I will have a sling for the baby for the lines so at the end of the day I suspect she will be in that and the boys in the buggy.

I will say though, and other will disagree, with only two children we really liked having separate buggies rather than a double, It meant we both had a stroller and it was MUCH MUCH easier getting around the shops with a single. Also we liked being able to on ocassion split up and have a kid each, say one go and get drinks while the other fast passes etc.
