We're going with my 3 and 4 year old at the end of the month and I am loathe to take our double buggy beacause it is such a pain to transport.

Does any one know if you can hire double buggies at the parks and if so are they like the WDW ones?

Also, can you take the buggies out of the parks if you are staying at a Disney Hotel?

Cheers.

There aren't any double buggies available, but there is a buggy board for an older child on the back.

You can take the buggies out of the parks, if you can work out how it's done. We did try and from what we could gather you do have to pay a rather large deposit, what we couldn't clarify is whether we'd actually be able to get the deposit back.
There was a lady at the hire centre one day when we were there who had done it but was having trouble getting her deposit back, overhearing the conversation, we though it might be because she had hired it originally in the Studios park, unfortunately the CM didn't speak very much English and I don't think this lady was listening to her anyway.

We plumped for hiring one every day, be aware you can't take the buggy from one park to another either, which can be a pain.

Hi

We are having the same debate. We have decided to take our own as they dont offer double buggies. My twin boys would hate to be seperated. I have also heard that rented strollers goes missing quite often so you woukd have to go back and get another one. This also put us off.

Tell me about it :furious:

We take a bike padlock with us and lock up the buggy as we have had our buggy gone missing once too often. The first time it happened was outside the storybook ride and it had a small coolbag hanging on it with my ds bottles. It really put a damper on the day. We had 3 buggies go missing that day!!!!

I would have a look on ebay or in a charity shop and see if you could find a double umbrella one.

Thats terrible. I bet it would spoil it. Hope your ds was ok. Was it just rentals that go missing. Mine is a McClaren?

Yes it was the park one.We had our own Mclaren sitting next to it and it was still there. We only hung the cool bag on it so we could locate it quicker. My DD who was 3 at the time just cried because she couldnt understand why anyone would steal her brothers bottles. We still had one bottle at the hotel so by DS survived.
