Bug Spray at Vero Beach

I'm sorry if I posted this on the wrong board.

I've heard a lot about these "monster bugs" at Vero Beach that can ruin a vacation. Could someone recommend a particular bug spray or something to watch out for? Thanks so much for the help!

We have not had any problems with the no see ums, I'm guessing that's what you are referring to. If we put on bug spray, we look for "Deet" in the ingredients.

Last year when I was preparing for my first Vero Beach stay, I read through the entire Vero Beach Owners and Lovers thread. Folks there recommended bug spray with Picaridin rather than DEET. I Google'd it and found lots of info on it. I believe I found some on Amazon.
