Just wondering if you normally tip 18-20% here or if you tip less since it's buffet and you do much of the work on your own. We normally tip 10-15% at buffets, depending on how attentive the waitress is (keeping drinks filled, taking our empty plates, etc). But not sure how Disney handles this especially if you are on DDP. THANKS!

We still tip the same 18-20%. The server does the same amount of work except the initial bringing the plates of food to your table (which is the least of their job, IMO). The rest of the time, they are busy filling drinks, clearing plates, coming back to clear more plates, handling requests for things like extra silverware, napkins, to-go boxes, etc. I think they work just as hard at the buffet restaurants as they do in the regular restaurants. Sometimes harder because we tend to use more plates at buffet restaurants. :)

Buffets I usually go 18% where I'll easily go 20% or better at a table service. At a buffet the server doesn't have to take the orders (which we all know is when they want to scream "Just take the FISH!" as kids are changing their minds, they don't have to carry the plates out and you even get seconds yourself. So there is a decreased amount of work. Albeit a good waiter/waitress realizes that people tend to think this way and adjusts his/her service to make up for it.

I've had some really good waitstaff at Crystal Palace.
