Just back from Disney with our 2.5 year old son, and I wanted to share our thoughts on these buffet meals:
Biergarten: Neither DH or myself had ever eaten here, so we didn't really know what to expect. The inside is a charming evening German Village recreation, with 3 tiers of seating surrounding a stage and dance area. I requested to sit in the front row, and we just had to wait about 5 extra minutes for this table. It was so worth the wait with a toddler! When the band came on, he could go out and dance and come back and forth to us, b/c we were sitting right there. I wouldn't have wanted him to be walking up the stairs by himself with all the traffic of guests and staff walking around the restaurant. The food was good - nothing to write home about but fine. Our server was very nice. What made this a great experience was the band and my toddler getting to dance - he had SO much fun! In fact, it was quite the preschool set down on the dance floor. So, while I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to folks with small children who would want to dance, I wouldn't recommend it to a party of strictly adults. There are other, better restaurants.
Cape May Cafe Clam Bake: The staff is great at Cape May by the way. The food for this buffet was good and we enjoyed it, but in no way is it worth a special trip. We were staying at the BCV, so it was convenient, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone not staying at the YC/BC. It was good though, so we weren't disappointed.
Tusker House Character Breakfast: This meal actually did disappoint. The staff was the least friendly, and most harried, and the set-up of the restaurant isn't really conducive to a buffet/character meet and greets. It felt chaotic and disorganized. It also felt like we had to wait a long time for the characters. It was ok, but I wouldn't do it again and don't feel like I can recommend this one.
Cape May Character Breakfast: This character breakfast, on the other hand, was very well-run, relaxed and enjoyable. And surprisingly, the food was more varied, diverse and better overall! The staff here is great, and I think the character breakfast here is actually worth a special trip, even if you aren't staying at an Epcot resort. Very well done!
