Buffets and Disability

My understanding is buffets charge adult price for adults.

Is there any exception for disabilities? Grandpa broke his neck and can’t possibly eat adult portions. I would love to eat at LTT, but they took the a la carte menu away. We are open to the buffet if Grandpa will be charged as a child, but as far as I know that is not possible. I wanted to double check with the experts.

He will be getting a DAS if it matters. Thanks!

Unfortunately they will charge him as an adult. They charge based on age only. DAS won't help.

Not even tube fed individuals can count on being given any discount. Many adults do not eat very much at buffets. Myself included.

DAS has no impact

Make sure you read the sticky on the DAS if you haven’t already done so. It is a lot of information, but is very helpful on what the DAs does and does not do.

I've been in that predicament with my older mother, who could never eat her share at a buffet. The rest of us really enjoyed buffet; so, it never bothered us to pay the adult price for her. We never regretted doing it. The rest of us made up for it.
