I know that I can feed him off my plate but am I able to actually get a plate to put his food on? I feel like buffets will be a great way to go on our trip (no waiting for food huge plus with a toddler) but I am just curious how it works with a 2 year old since he won't have DDP credits (I know we will have to pay oop for his milk at each meal). Thanks!

There is no such thing as a "kids buffet" or even an "adult buffet" at Disney. They have buffets with one section lower to the floor which has on it items that kids tend to enjoy (such as pizza, hot dogs, chicken strips, mac & cheese, etc.). Any person at the buffet (including children less than age three who are free) can get anything from any part of the buffet.

We are coming down in next week and have a buffett scheduled for NYE at 1900 Park Fare with our 7 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old. The funny thing is that our 4 year old eats NOTHING (he is so darn picky!) but our 2 year old is a bottomless pit. So I figure that while we will be paying for our 4 year old who will eat very little, we'll still get our money's worth from our 2 year old who is technically free!

There's no difference (eating wise) in bringing a 2YO versus an older kid. Simply tell your server that you have a 2YO. The 2YO can get whatever he wants. The restaurant will not count the 2YO for your final bill.

We were in disney with our two year old this past May and ate at Chef Mickey's. I picked up his own plate, no complaints from anyone. Also character meals are the best for this age group. It was the only sit down restaurant he didn't throw a tantrum at due to watching the characters and dancing with his napkin. He loved every minute of it.

You all can have as many plates as you want. The price is really the price of admission, and the 2 yo isn't charged admission. Once inside, he can eat just like anybody else.

I have seen ONE instance where a poster stated they were told at a Disney buffet that they could not get a plate for their baby, that the baby had to eat off of her plate. If that happened I would ask for a manager.
