Can anyone tell me the names of the buffet restarurants at WDW? We are gonig in Oct and have the dining plan. We have a 4 year old and I think that he would do much better at the buffets than the restaurants with the kids menus. I would like to plan as many buffets as possible for us. Thanks!

MK-Crystal Palace has a great buffet and Winnie the Pooh characters 3 meals a day.

AK-Restaurantosaurus has a breakfast buffet with Donald, Mickey, Pluto, and Goofy.

MGM-Hollywood and Vine has lunch and breakfast buffet with Little Einstein characters.

Epcot-Garden Grill has lunch and dinner with Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto. This is not buffet but family style (meaning he can choose off the child's platter or adult platter they bring out). Wonderful character interaction, private booths, great place!

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary has traditional Disney characters at a breakfast and dinner buffet.

This is a partial list. Go to Allearsnet.com and click on dining. You can see menus and reviews.

DD4 loves the characters, and I didn't want to take a chance that she wouldn't eat what was ordered for her. So, we did almost all buffets for our dinner TS. We did Chef Mickey's, Cape May (she didn't love the food here), Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Faire, Princess Storybook in Norway, and Hollywood & Vine. All were enjoyable for dinner, but she did not love the chicken fingers at Cape May, and probably would have enjoyed the meal with the characters better at H&V (obviously!). I overate, but if you have self control, go for it! I dieted for 4 months before the trip, and ended up gaining back the 10 pounds I had lost. Oh well...

In 2005 when we went and ate on the DDP, we did ALL BUFFET breakfasts, and a few dinners. We did Cinderella Castle Breakfast, Chef Mickeys for dinner TWICE (we LOVE Chef Mickeys!), Polynesia Ohana Breakfast, Cape May Breakfast (another favorite of ours!), 1900 Park Fare Dinner with cinderella, Epcot Norway Pavillion Askershus (spelling...) with breakfast with the Princesses.... oh, and dinner at Crystal Palace with Pooh! Another favorite!
I didn't have a complaint about ANY OF THEM!
WE are going in 2 weeks and have all advanced dining reservations AGAIN at all of the buffet breakfasts, and 1900 Park Fare Dinner. This time, we are doing all the same again, EXCEPT we couldn't get the castle breakfast this time, bummer for my 4 year old turning 5, but that's okay....
We are going to try Lunch at Hollywood and Vine play and dine at MGM, but now I've read NOT SO GOOD reviews about it... so I'm thinking I may change it for another night of dinner at Chef Mickeys?
Anyone else with opinions on that?
