What happens if you have an ADR at the end of breakfast time (i.e. 11:00) and lunch starts at 11:30? Do you only get breakast and get "kicked out" at 11:30? or can you eat lunch food when it's time?

Hmmmmm. that is a good question. Does it say the restaurant closes down between breakfast and lunch...if not, I would think they would just make a transition to luncheon items and you would continue to eat. I do not think they would expect you to be out of a buffet in 30 minutes..

Anyone have more experience with this?

You don't ever get "kicked out" of any Disney restaurant. The buffet trays are slowly changed from breakfast to lunch. When the tray from breakfast gets empty.

This isn't breakfast to lunch but we just ate at the Biergarten for a late lunch. During our time, it changed to dinner. We didn't really even notice. I didn't realize it happened until my husband mentioned that one dish that he liked was replaced by a more dinner type meat.

This happened to us twice last week. Once at Tusker House for the new Donald's Safari Bfast...we ended up eating both bfast and lunch for the bfast price!! And at Crystal Palace...we were seated right near the end of lunch and dinner items were already appearing...hooray for us!! Again, dinner for the lunch price. I think this is a pretty good deal. If you are flexible, I would do this! Also, the restaurants seemed quiet at these times so there were no waits at the buffets and the characters had more time to hang around.

What if we get a 10:45 ADR at Boma whose breakfast stops at 11:00 and there's no lunch - will we have slim pickings and the ends of all the food since they won't be putting out new/fresh dishes?

I can't speak for Boma, but we had one of the last breakfast seatings at CM (and were one of the last families in the restaurant) and they continually replenished. Food was fresh and plentiful!

The breakfast ending at 11:00 only means that no new people will be seated after that time. All the food items will still be hot and fresh and you will not be hurried out at all. We often have to have breakfast this way as we aren't early morning eaters.

When we are planning buffets, we usually try to do this on purpose. Usually it's at Crystal Palace. Get to the park early and hit a few rides, then catch the last seating possible at breakfast pricing & get lunch food also.
