Chattyaholic, everything you listed is why we haven't eatin at a buffet in years.


I notice its a landslide in getting a clean plate.

I am not generally germ conscious, but that just grosses me out. The germs from your plate get into the food and then onto my plate. Sorry, but I don't know where you've been. That just grosses me out. Ick. Just eat right off of the darn salad bar, why don't you? We'll get one big bowl and anybody that wants some can dig in.

I'll only go to a buffet when someone comes up with an "all you drink" beer buffet. And if they ever do ... just grab me a pillow because it is going to be a long night.

Definitely a clean plate. But one buffet we go to doesn't have clean plates out. They give you two plates when you pay and that's it. So I often use one plate to serve with. I'll use it to go up and get something then I'll serve it on to my "eating plate" So I'm sure if someone was watching it would look like I was using dirty plates.
