we usually stay put when we get to Disney. But our favorite dinner buffets are Crystal Palace, Biergarten, and occasionally Chef Mickeys...
Our favorite breakfast buffets are Breakfastasaurus in AK, Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace and our new favorite is the Princess breakfast at Norway......it was outstanding......I wonder how fun it would be when we go without the grandkids....
Make your reservation for 6:30 p.m. and take the boat from Magic Kingdom to the campground, it's beautiful this time of night and the food is better than most of the buffet's elsewhere, and you can't beat the pricing!
We love Crystal Palace. It has been our experience to always have good food here. I also love that you are in MK. I don't have to leave the park to enjoy a good meal.
We also like Chef Mickey's. Many people have bashed it here on the forum but we find that it is very good and kept fresh. It is at the CR resort.
Whispering Canyon has an all you can eat bbq skillet that DH loves. So we always head over to WL for that.
Ohana at the Poly resort is a all you can eat family style meal. We love the food, could do without the noise (crazy noisy there) and we try and go early as it seems the staff gets slow as the evening wears on...at least this is our experiences.
One buffet we do not like is Boma. Not that it was bad...but not what we expected. No one prepared us for the spices of African cooking. We thought they were hot spicey...nope...they use many sweet spices like cinnamon and fruits in all their dishes. Even the meat had a cinnamon rub on it. It was definitely not my taste. But like I said, not bad, just tasted like I was eating dessert all night. lol
My family and I really enjoy Trail's End Restaurant at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. They have a really great buffet with all the yummy "down home" cooking you can eat! Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, barbeque ribs, chili, etc... I love it and it's a really great deal for all the food you get! After you're done you can just hop on the boat and head right to Magic Kingdom to enjoy the rest of your night!
Boma for dinner, I find that they are one of the few buffet meals still worth the price at Disneyworld. For Breakfast, we love the Tusker House Character breakfast, the food is fresh and there are quite a few African choices amongst the typical fare, we've found it to be a nice experience.
Our favorite breakfast buffet is Ohana, closely followed by CP. our favorite luch and dinner buffet is CP. I've heard good things about Tusker House lunch and dinner and will be trying it this Aug.
