Let me make sure I have this right. There is the Pirates night buffet and then there is a midnight dessert buffet, and they are two completely seperate entities. Is this correct?

I have seen pictures, but am not sure which was whcih and what was what. The chocolate fountain......is that the midnight buffet?

Can anyone compare and contrast these for me, as far as selection, popularity, etc etc?

You're correct. The Pirate night party buffet is totally separate from the "midnight" dessert buffet that actually is around 11:00 PM. The chocolate fountain is at the dessert buffet.

I can only speak from experience with the Pirate night buffet, but it will have buffet type items and cakes.

As the name implies the Dessert Buffet is in Lumiere's. It is all Desserts. They open it around 11-11:15 for pictures for about 15-20 minutes then you get to eat it.

The Pirate buffet has various food. It is on deck by the Goofy Pool. It seems like it is ready around 10PM until 11-11:30PM.

The Pirate one is after the Pirate party. The Dessert one is after late dinner on semiformal night. When you see the art work made from chocolate, it is usually pictures from the dessert. At the Pirate night, they have a large variety of cakes, etc. but the art work tends to be a lot of fruit and ice. The :goodvibes Pirate one has more food, like those YUMMMMMMMY Turkey legs...

Also, the pirate buffet is offered on all cruises, while the dessert buffet is only on the 7 night & longer cruises - it is not offered on the 3 & 4 night cruises.

Haha thanks guys, but I know all of the general differences.

I was looking for more specific differences in the offerings, which one you have to wait longer in line for, things like that.
