I am having trouble finding a review thread for Buffalo Bills. Is there one?

Basically, I just wondered what food is served. Is there a choice? Is it all chilli etc, or is there other stuff available - steaks etc?.

Thanks :)

There isnt a review thread but I did a short review in my Easter 08 Trip Report which is in the TR index. I also did a longer report once but unsure if I can find it now.
Its a set meal which consists of Chilli and bread as starter, plate of meats - sausage, chicken leg, rib (I think), potaotoes and apple crumble and ice cream with water, coke or beer and coffee.

There is also the choice of veg menu or pork free and a childrens option

no chilli as starter and just chicken, sausage and potatoe as main and ice cream -

I think that is right

We had chilli and trailside bread...delicious..for starters
Then sausage kebab type of thing, chicken leg and breast on the bone like a 1/2 or 1/4 chicken, a small pork sausage,1/4 corn on the cob and potato wedges...for mains
Apple cobbler...yummy with ice cream and coffee.

The kids had a chicken leg,a sausgae,1/4 corn on the cob and potato wedges for their mains
A ice cream lolly for desert.

There is lots of beer, coke and water..our glasses were refilled 4 times.

A great show lots of shouting and banging. We loved it and would recommend to everyone :)

I think the chilli is the thing that puts me off going, im not 100% keen on it esp if its really hot. Guess i can always eat the bread instead.

Can say that again, its got to the point i don't bother buying a drink in the bar before we go in unless very early to watch the entertainment, so much free drink!

Definately do ..its great.

And you get a cowboy hat to bring home :goodvibes

Priceless wearing it home on the conventional trains!

Its not hot at all, its a really really tasty american style chilli. Its really really tasty, and not hot.

I always recommend Buffalo Bills to people, even if its just for the atmosphere! Nothing like eating, banging your cutlery and mugs on the table, banging your feet, waving your cowboy(/girl) hat in the air screaming "YEEEHAAAAAAW!"

Incase not quite worked it out.. I like it there :goodvibes

We did this for the 1st time on our last trip. And as my DD would say 'Oh my God!!' We had a brilliant time. It was worth the money to see my dad and DD standing waving their hats about and cheering like lunatics, as they cheered our team on. My dad lost his cutlery as he was banging them together so hard and nearly fell over the front of the table. the team clown was hilarious and made a good night even better. luckily our team won (DD was getting very competitive and screaming our team on) and on the way home refused to take her hat off. She's wearing it now as I write this bless her. In all it was brilliant and plan to do it at least evey other trip!!

When we went in August 08 I hardly ate anything, don't like chilli, corn on the cob etc..

Did steal some of DBF's food though, and the dessert was yummy. :)

Worth going even if you don't really want to eat the food, I kinda filled up on bread and some of the chicken. The guy next to me was sending back almost empty plates, just a couple of chicken bones and the middle bit of the corn! Could hardly believe my eyes! ;)

I know you can get 15% discount booking before hand....don't suppose you can combine this with the AP discount can you?

If I want to go on Monday - am I best to go in tomorrow and book? How does it work with my HB Premium vouchers?

Your hb premium covers the whole cost but you can only get 'secondary' seating (I think that's what it is called) - it means you sit a bit further back but everyone on a previous thread said that this wasn't a problem. I would have definitely gone if Emilia was older, it sounds like great fun. I would book when you get there.

Normally you pay in advance for this and its non refundable so I assume if you book it tomorrow they will take your HB voucher off you and give you another voucher in return. We booked when we were there last Easter and had to pay and got something to show on the day we went
