Hi All,

I'm new here so sorry if this seems a really stupid question. We are palnning our 9th trip To Disneyland paris for June 2009 and have never been to Buffalo Bill's before. I really wanted to treat us and get first price seating and was really excited until i read some reviews about the food. Two reviews i read said that they were physically sick the night after they ate and the food was not properly cooked. They kept mentioning chicken wings and sausages but this is not mentioned on the menu for next year unless this is what they are calling a skillet. Basically my question is this, has the food either improved or changed since the reviews i have read and would you recommend going? Also has anyone been since the new two tiered pricing came into effect and was 1st price seating worth it with the view and extra food?

Sorry this is such a long question.

Many thanks

Ro

I went once in Jan 08 and thought it was good, the food was brill too BUT I wouldn't do it again, its just not my thing, my husband on the other hand would go every night if we could afford it!

I really can't say much on the old being ill thing as I'm ill every time I go to DLP!! But on the bright side I'm positive it wasn't from going to Buffalo Bills!:rotfl:

If I were you I would go and experience it, it is worth the money!:thumbsup2

oh sorry for being so ignorant!!

welcome!!!

We enjoyed our times at the Buffalo Bill Show :)

We were there a couple of weeks ago.. i knew the food wasnt anything special so we ate in Anettes for lunch so we wouldnt be bothered about the food at the show.

The people sat in the row in front of us were all had the 'Special Priced Tickets'' there food was exactly the same as ours although they had a few extra things

*Glass of wine (i think)
*Small bag of chocolates

Not much difference at all really, and i dont think i would pay the extra.

The food was not amazing but we had a pick at it.. it was ok, nothing special.

Food was:

* Chili corn carne with bread
* Roast Chicken, small corn on cob, potato wedges, and we had a kebab on a stick (as we had pork free menu)
* Apple pie with ice cream (not traditional apple pie, wasnt nice but was able to eat it)
* Coffee with a choc coin
* Drink... coke or beer

We didnt eat it all as it wasnt really tasty but it was ok to pick at.. we had filled up at Anettes for lunch so we wasnt bothered about it.

BUT the show was well worth it! Its a fab show and great fun and a brilliant atmosphere, i would go again because the show was very good... but i wouldnt bother paying for the special ticket.

Hi,

Thank you so much for replying. I'm still debating it but really want to see the show so as long as we are careful we check what we eat before doing so i think it should be ok. Will fill up at lunch so that we are not too hungry for dinner. Anyone else got any tips or been recently?

Any views much appreciated.

I think that it is worth booking to see the show, especially if u havnt seen it before, as the show is brilliant and its a great atmosphere!
Just fill up at lunch time like we did so u are not hungry at the show and have a little pick at ur food during the show.
The food is ok, not really bad, just not as tastey as a meal in Anettes :rotfl:
But the show is a must see :thumbsup2

Ro, we've been twice and I'm contemplating booking again next March. The show is vey entertaining, really good fun and the food is edible, I also read the reviews of uncooked bloody chicken, which worried me greatly before our visit in 2006, it shouldn't have the meal was fine.
Even if you don't like the chilli and meats it's worth it for the selection of trail breads, they're delicious and I personally love the apple cobbler dessert and OH will go along just for the free beer.:rotfl:

I don't know a lot about the 2 tiered pricing, haven't checked that yet, if its' just to do with seating then we've sat in the very front and the very back row, I can't say one was any better than the other. :-)

Thank you so much you have really put my mind at ease. I really want to go but the thought that it could make me sick and therefore miss one of my very important days in the parks was a worry. I didn't know when the reviews had been written so hopefully it was a couple of years back and they have sorted things out by now. Thinking about it the show has been on since the park first opened so if the food was that awful i would have thought it would have been shut down by now.

Many Thanks

Well we have been 12-15 times now (I have lost track). It is my favorite attraction in all of DLP (but I am an American that has lived in Europe for 22 years, so it resonates with me). Last time was this August.

Food wise is variable. The Chilli is excellent, as is the corn bread.

The main menu is not as good as it used to be and the chicken is a little dry. It is ok, but not great.

The apple cobbler and ice cream is excellent as well.

I am very full when we leave. The food quality is better than many of the counter service restaurants, but not as good as the table service.

But the show is awesome. I think everyone should go.

As for seating, there is no bad view in the house. The front seats are closer to the action and you can interact with the rodeo clown, but the views at the back are great too. It depends what is important to you - but I am happy no matter where we have sat. The earlier you get to the show, the closer to the arena you get seated.

Have a great time!

I agree with everything that davewasballoo says about Buffalo Bills. I'd certainly suggest that everyone see's it once. We have found the food ok everytime we have been. It's not the best food in DLRP by any stretch of the imagination but it certainly isn't the worst!

There was a rumor going round that it was to be replaced by a Zorro show...if this is true then I'd certainly suggest seeing it before it dissapears.
