It was certainly not my intent to give people bad advice about those seats. I do not recall seeing any signage about handicap seating, but it's possible I may have missed it. When sailing with a family member who is definitely Pooh sized, we were actually told by the cast member at the theater that we should use those chairs, so that she would be comfortable.

DH has mobility issues, so we're legit for sitting there. FWIW, sitting in the cramped seats gives me mobility issues as well.

I understand what you are saying, that you feel “legit” sitting there as someone with mobility issues, but that spot is the only place in the theater where wheelchairs can be located in the theater. That is why that area is reserved for wheelchair passengers and their families.

If your mobility issues don't allow you to do stairs, where are you supposed to sit? I suppose we could borrow a wheel chair from guest services.

The real problem is that there is not enough accessible seating in the theaters. Wheelchairs can’t use the stairs at all and other people who have issues with stairs are limited in their choices as well. I have written to DCL more than once about this problem.

Their representative has told me that they are “looking into” the issue, but nothing ever changes. If they need to seat more than one wheelchair they will move out the wooden chairs, but then you can’t sit with your family members. And that doesn’t solve the problem for people who are not in wheelchairs but can’t handle the stairs.

I was looking at the movies list again and I realized that over the two weeks I had watched:
La La Land
Lion
Thor Ragnarok
Star Wars Last Jedi
Darkest Hour
Black Panther

There is less room than a modern movie theater, but it really was not that bad. Obviously, I kept coming back!!
