Hey everyone, has anyone ever stayed at the Buena Vista Suites? The place looks nice online and I like the idea of a 2 room suite. We will be travelling in early November with another couple, (they will have their own room) kids range in age from 6-12. I refuse to pay over $150 a night for a hotel when we are basically only sleeping there. I find the only advantage to staying on-site is the transportation. The Buena Vista Suites offers free full american breaksfast daily for everyone, free scheduled shuttle service to all of the parks. Its $717.00 for 7 nights. We like the idea of having breakfast included too. Feedback anyone? Thanks:crazy:

We haven't stayed there yet but seriously considered them when my sister and niece were joining us, making our party a size of 6. To stay on-property with 6 is expensive, so we were looking at other options. Unfortunately, my sister bailed out of the trip so we were back to 4 people, so we decided to stay on property.

This place looks nice and the idea of the breakfast was nice. The only thing I would say is that the shuttle transportation is limited. If you are driving down and will have a car, then driving to the parks wouldn't be a problem (include the parking fee in your budget). But if you aren't driving, I would look into getting a rental car.

We have never stayed there but I have read many good reviews here and elsewhere.

That said, however, let me suggest another option to consider. Rent a pool home or condo. For $100/nite or less (about what you are paying there), you can get a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom single home with a full kitchen and screened-in private pool. Breakfast won't be included, but you'll have far more space and much nicer amenities.

As Maggie said, as long as you are offsite, you really need a car to get around. There are literally hundreds of houses within 15 minutes of the parks. Check out these 2 sites:

If you're staying offsite RENT A CAR. The shuttles are scheduled and limited. Some hotels (I don't think BVS) are starting to charge.

Steve--I agree OP should consider renting a condo or vacation home. However, some people are looking for more of a hotel experience. Daily maid service, breakfast that's cooked for you and the like.

It was clean but need updated. The breakfast was good and the pool was great. It was at the time a WDW good neighbor hotel (it may still be). We did not use the transportation as we had our own van. Watch for specials we had the room for $89.00 per nite and have seen it lower than that. We would stay there again for prices around this range. My DW is DOD so we would probly not pay the price you quoted as we can get SOG for a lower price but would not get the breakfast - but would have the Magic Hour. Being off site did seam to take a lot longer to get where we wanted go even with our own auto. Right now http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resorts/bvsuites/index.htmis showing the price at $89.00 / nite.
