Hello,

I may have talked my BFF into a weekend getaway to F/W. However her budget will not cover my normal trip (not even my budget trips).

She looked at Expedia (I don't use third party sites) and one of the deals they have (flight/hotel) is at Buena Vista Suites.

Has anyone stayed there recently?

I've been looking a the website but I can't really get a read on things like:

Is breakfast included?
Do they shuttle and how efficient/convenient is it?
How is the hotel overall?

Thanks in advance.

We stayed there in November. I liked it. It's very close to WDW, clean, all suites, overall good value. Yes, breakfast is included. It was pretty good, and you can get eggs to order if you're willing to wait a bit (to me, this indicates that the kitchen is working throughout the breakfast service, and the food overall is likely to be fresher). There's a lot of choices. The breakfast room is huge but not big enough to service the hotel, so eat early or expect to eat in the lobby or take food back to your room.

I didn't use the shuttle, but when I checked in, the desk clerk was explaining to some guests on the phone that they couldn't use the shuttle unless they had vouchers from the hotel. So be sure to get your vouchers if you plan to use it. I got the impression that seating was limited.

I liked the hotel and would go back. It's nice to have a living and sleeping area, though I'd prefer that the living area have a table and chairs rather than a big desk that I'll never use on vacation. There's a small fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. The pool is a basic rectangle, no special features. It doesn't matter to us, but I know it's a consideration for many. The hotel only has two (I think) elevators which is not enough for the hotel's traffic. Expect long lines waiting for elevators, especially during breakfast. We stayed on the third floor and used the stairs a lot. The staff was friendly, our room was cleaned well every day. I'd go back. We went on a Mousesavers deal that was a great value. Call them directly to try to beat any deals on booking sites.

Thanks. I'm not a pool person and it's a short trip so no worries on that front. We'll have to see what's available when we book.

We stayed there last summer for one night prior to check-in on property and have it booked again this summer for one night. For us its a great value since we are a family of 6 and many of the hotels that can accommodate us are on the pricer range. It is also VERY close to the parks. It is clean and the free breakfast is a plus. We stay there and then hit a park at rope drop before we check-in at our resort or condo. Now, we have never stayed there for an extended period of time and can not speak about the restaurant or anything.

Now, I would not want to stay there for a week or longer...but that's probably more due to the size of our family and we would kill each other. And the pool is nothing special. Also don't like the resort fee they have added on- but you can find some deals sometimes where they exclude the resort fee. And parking is free as well...

Have stayed and it is fine for a bed/shower spot. I wouldn't want to hang around at all but sounds like you don't. Agree with previous poster that while breakfast is fine, the space is way too small and it was a struggle. I have not returned since they implemented a resort fee since I get no value from any of the "extras".

Thoughts -
- Have you factored in the cost of getting back and forth from the airport? 16 miles.
- While "Park" Shuttle is in your fee, there are not many times and you have to reserve.
- Reserving shuttle means no flexibility AND it only goes to TTC.
- Be prepared for Taxi/Uber costs.
- Have you priced for a Disney value? Once you add hotel/airport transport costs and possible hotel/park costs ... it may not be much different from the Disney value, especially with a discount.

Yes I have tried to make a value stay work but it doesn't beat the deal. That might change with discounts. She actually texted me this morning to wait. So may be a point.

I stay off often when I can't make value work, so I get it .... but I have a car and never have to deal with transportation or shuttles. I'm heading down a weekend next month and can't make value work even with discounts. I won't be in room so don't care to spend much.
