Buena Vista Suites -- newly renovated

We just returned from WDW and spent the last 2 nights of our vacation at BVS, and let me tell you it was great! Our room was beautiful, and spacious and my husband was in love with the 2 flat screen TV's in the room. We were in room 623, and had a view of the back of the resort, which didn't bother us one bit, we actually got to see the Wishes fireworks from MK one night and Illuminations both nights! Beds were comfy, pillows a bit more squishy then we like but it was fine. Breakfast each morning was delicious and weekend days its available from 6:30a, until 10:30am and on weekends its from 7am until 10:30am ...by far a great deal and we will certainly stay here again in the future!

Oh, yay! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes This makes me even more excited, if that is possible!
Thanks for the good review!

I haven't stayed here yet, but I have read reviews on it in the past. The only thing I would worry about is the pool is too small...
==================

BVS has a winter getaway starting at $89 with $50 hotel credit for each 2 night stay. I will be there next week for 4 nights and report back with a review. I can't seem to post links but you can find the deal at travelzoo under Orlando.

For those who have stayed here in the summer, how often do the buses depart for the parks?

We stayed there one night before our DVC check in. The staff was very nice, rooms were in great shape, comfortable beds and really very roomy. We needed more glasses and someone brought them and towels very quickly.

We did have problem with the Flat screen in the bedroom but it was late and we just wanted to sleep. We called maintenance and they offered to come right up up we said it was okay but to please get it foxed for the next people coming. he TV in the sitting room worked fine.

The kids did not complain about the sofa bed and the queens were very comfortable although I found it hard to find a place to put the extra decorative pillows and decorative bed linens.

Our kids did say some drunk was beating on the door at 3 AM. They finally opened the door and told him to go away. I never heard any of it. That was a bit scary but the kids are 17 so I guess they did right. :confused3 There was another adult up with them at this point so they felt no need to wake us or call security. I would mention this to families with young children sleeping in that room.

We would have liked a door between us and the bathroom too but it did work out fine.

The breakfast was great for one included with your room. The coffee was great! There were juices, eggs, waffles, ham, various cereals and fruit that was not the greatest but edible. It almost seemed like frozen fruit or dehydrated fruit that have been reconstituted?

We wished it had opened a bit earlier the Sunday morning we were there. It would have made our morning run smoother if we cold have eaten at 6:30 AM instead of 7 AM.

All in all it was a great value and we will return again. Thanks Mousesavers!:thumbsup2

We stayed there 12/14 - 12/16. It was a decent value for the $, but we had a few problems.

The sheets on the pull-out bed were disgusting. Housekeeping provided a new sheet, but made us leery about the cleanliness.

Our room was facing the main road, and the noise from the road kept me up most of the first night (motorcycles and trucks). The 2nd night I was too tired to notice.

Breakfast was ok. First day was eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy and the normal fare you find on a buffet. Eggs to order was available, but we didn't notice until after we had filled our plates. 2nd day there was sausage instead of bacon, which was cold. We ate at 7:30am both days - not crowded and plenty of selection. Not bad, but I've had better complimentary breakfasts. (I'm not complaining, free is free!)

Had a problem with our room bill because we were splitting on 2 credit cards. Ended up all being charged on one, and after a long call to their accounting department, still couldn't get it fixed. In-laws are going to have to write me a check for their portion of the room!

All-in-all, not bad. Don't know if I'd stay there again. :confused3
