Does anyone have any info on this hotel? It states it's across from DTD, how close is it? Is it clean? Basically I have all the typical ?s one has about a hotel before staying.

Thanks!

I have stayed there, but many years ago, so I can't really comment. Sorry. Anyone else stay there recently? I'm curious as well.

We stayed there last November. It was FANTASTIC!!!
Our room had two luxuriously comfy queen beds, a chaise-longue, a stool, a desk chair, full desk and moveable glass-topped table, a flat-screen TV and a spacious bathroom complete with vanity area.
Here's some pics: (excuse the mess - it was check-out day (well that's my excuse :rotfl2: )

The balcony was compact but fitted 2 wicker chairs and a small table.

Our room overlooked DTD and Epcot in one direction and MK in the other.

The pool area was on a separate island connected to the main hotel via wooden bridges over the resort waterways. It had a large pool, Jacuzzi, basketball court, bar/ snack bar and outdoor snack area.

The main hotel was gorgeous and you could tell it had been recently refurbished to a very high standard. There was even free nightly champagne and h’orderves in the bar.
Downstairs there was 2 restaurants and a cafe. The more plush of the two was the Outback restaurant (not the chain) serving high end fare. Then there was the Watercress, which served breakfast as well as lighter lunches and dinner. These were quite pricey (about $23 for breakfast but we got a deal where we received them free!).
Finally there was the cafe where you could pick up a quick breakfast or sandwich etc during the day.
There's also an onsite Disney souvenier shop and a clothing store.
The hotel is literally across the road from DTD. From the main hotel, you can use the covered walkways throughout the resort to reach the road and then you're straight across to the bus stations where the WDW resort buses pick up/ drop off at the DTD Marketplace.
Also, there was a regular bus service to all the WDW theme parks/ water parks (which I think was operated by Mears?). This was included in the price of the daily resort fee (which I think was $11 when we went).
Also, the staff were super-friendly and were happy to help with anything. One member even gave us vouchers for fee entrees at Raglan Road in DTD!
All-in-all we'd return in a heartbeat!! :)

Tink2312 thank you for all the info and the great pictures.

Ok. Well I got a great rate on travelzoo.com. Couldn't pass it up, so I booked it! We're going next week, and it looks real nice. I'm excited!

I LOVE this hotel. We are staying the night tomorrow actually. Everytime we go to DTD we stay there. (especially when we go to Pleasure Island ::yes:: They have buses that run till 2:00 am and if you miss that bus you can easily walk back to the hotel. That is what we usually do  )

You can't beat the rate either. Most reasonable hotel in the downtown area.

Hope this helps :)

Great news! We booked the Travelzoo offer last year - it's fantastic value! Now, if only the flights over to the US were cheaper... ;)

How often do the shuttle buses run to the theme parks? And do they share with all the other DTD resorts?

DH has a convention at the Palace next month and plans to meet us at DHS when he's done for the day. Just trying to decide if the kids and I should load ourselves in the car and drive back to pick him up (ugh!) or if he'll be able to take the bus without it being a huge hassle/time waste.

My husband and I stayed there last Dec. before we checked into our resort. We used Hotwire where you don't know what hotel you are going to get and boy were we surprised. It was beautiful and you could walk to DTD if you wanted. We did and really enjoyed the place. They found out it was our anniversary and had some free goodies sent up which was a nice touch. And the beds were some of the best I have ever slept in. I would highly recommened it.

:thumbsup2

I have questions regarding this as well. My SIL, BIL & kids are going to be staying here and wonder if it is better to drive over to MK or take the shuttle.

Staff was awesome when we stayed there. The bell hop that took our bags to our room was very knowledgable he should train the CM's at Disney. Room was super clean.
