I have just booked at Buena Vista Palace (was Wyndham Palace and Spa).

Has anyone else stayed there? What was it like?

Thanks :earboy2:

We stayed there two years ago with a great rate from Hotwire. We were very happy with the quality of the hotel as well as the room itself. We were able to walk to Downtown Disney and they offer complimentary transportation to and from the parks on very clean and comfortable buses. The onsite restaurants were a bit expensive and I don't think I would have stayed there over a Disney hotel if the rates were the same. The hotel itself has an elegant look to it with a large comfortable lobby a great pool area and playground for kids. Each room has a balcony, and from our room we could see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom (We asked specifically for Fireworks view room). The grounds are well landscaped and sprawling. The parking area is a bit of a walk from the main entrance, however they do offer valet parking for a fee. Like I said, we got a great rate of about $80 per night two years ago. For the location and transportation offered, it is worth trying to find a discount rate at any of the DTD hotels.

I'll be there in 11 days! Our last stay there was April for our wedding.

The grounds are beautiful, our suite was amazing but the food is very expensive if you ask me. We are staying there again because they gave us a few free nights because of some problems during our wedding. We never did use their bus systems because I heard some bad stories but the good thing is, Downtown Disney is right across the street and you can just catch a Disney bus from there. Enjoy!

I have stayed there 5 times! - I have no complaints, one bad room - changed immediately. Yes, food is expensive but with DTD less than 5 mins walk (from room!) & Crossroads 15 minutes walk this is not a problem. I use the bus system all the time - fist on and first off so never a problem with seats. I found the buses sort of on time (!), but really as long as you are not clock watching it was no big deal. Rooms have great views of Disney, but Lake view is also really nice. I belive they are starting room refurbishment Jan06. Have a great time!
