Hi

Just wondering how crowded the theatre gets. How early do you get tot he theatre to get seats? Also, is food/drink allowed. Do they sell any type of concessions or can we bring our own..thanks!

The theatre gets more crowded the closer to showtime.....we always try to get there about 15 to 20 minutes before the show begins to get a good seat....they have a concession stand just outside the Walt Disney Theatre on both sides and they also have CM's that come through the theatre before showtime selling drinks (beer, smoothies, etc) and yes, you can bring your own .... Andy

If you're talking about the movie theatre, they do not sell food/drinks. Not sure if you can bring in food /drinks, but I would guess you could.

Crowds depend on the time and movie. I doubt though that you'll have problems getting a seat. There are so many screenings and so many things to do on the ship that you should be fine

Every time I had a movie that I wanted to see, there was a conflict with another activity. We opted for the ship activities as you can't do them when you get home.

oops, sorry, I misread the thread and gave info on the WD Theatre......yes, you can bring your own food/drink to the Buena Vista Theatre as I have seen many others do so when we were there.....Andy

Sometimes they have a small table outside of the door with snack foods that you can purchase similar to the WD theater. We usually bring our own. Also, the theater can be chilly, so if you are always cold like me, bring a sweater.

We went to 2 movies on the ship, one in the afternoon & one at night. There was a CM going up & down the aisle with a tray of smoothies for sale before the movie started.

I agree although we did see Finding Nemo on our sailing. It was I believe the first day (or close to it) that it was released. It was the "show" for the night also.

Loved seeing Pirates on board.....because it was a particular rough day at sea.......made the scenes on the Black Pearl even more realistic.

TVguy -- we did that in August, too! Something about your seat swaying and dipping with the sea while you were watching the movie gave it a great feel!

How crowded the theatre gets is going to depend on what is playing, what time it is, and what else is going on on the ship. You probably won't have any problem seeing anything while docked at Castaway Cay if the weather is good, but if the weather is bad on a "sea day" and they are playing a new release or a popular film, you might want to get there quite early.

We were on the Wonder for the first showings of Lilo and Stitch!

My kids saw it three times, LOL! It was such a hit, they showed it one day in the big theater!
