We (Me, Wife, and three young children) are going to WDW this June for a total of 9 days. We aren't doing the dining plans and aren't planning any sit down meals besides one character breakfast and a dinner at the T-Rex Cafe. That being said I'm trying to get an idea of how much money I should expect to spend on quick service meals for the time we are there. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I found that the Excel spreadsheet that this blogger developed is a very valuable tool in not only determining whether to get any of the dining plans, but also for figuring out what to expect out of pocket costs to be.

A general rule of thumb for QS that I use is as follows...

Meals for adults and Disney adults:

Drink $3
Entree $12
Dessert $4

Obviously, there are cheaper and more expensive options but I find this is a good average.

I usually budget $20 per person for quick service for our family, though we cut this down by not having desserts usually, sharing drinks and entrees and sometimes even getting kid's meals instead.

Kids meals include main, drink, side and dessert and are usually $5.84 to $6.38 after tax. There are a few places where the meals are slightly higher but most places have the above range.

I would think if the kids are all little (or have little appetites), you could get away with $60 a meal.
