I'm trying to work a budget for my husband to see how much it will cost for us to make a quick trip to Disney to see my daughter, she is my CM there. Does anyone have an idea on how much I should budget a day for food for five adults? I know it is expensive to eat at Disney but I want to make sure I budget enough and not be shocked at the prices when we get there. Any help would be much appreciated.

For CS meals, I'd budget $12-$15 per person per meal. Prices of TS are all over the map, so you really need to know which restaurants you plan to eat at. Check out the menus on allears.net, see where your family may want to eat, then you can see the average price for a meal there.

Also, if you will be drinking alcoholic beverages don't forget to budget extra for those!

if you goto astro orbital, across from the race track you can get a 1/2 or 1/4 chicken that will feed two.

Also which parks are you planning on visiting?

That's allearsnet.com. I've been known to type it incorrectly a time or two and wonder why the search didn't return the correct site! *LOL*

You also can check out the DDP prices if you're planning to stay on site. There are three different options, QS (quick service) only, regular DDP (1 TS + 1 QS per night), or DDxP, which is three TS meals per night). They may or may not be a good value for your family--it's really individual choice.

But checking menu prices probably is the best way to get a good idea. Be sure to allocate funds for taxes and tips (at TS restaurant). And be aware that alcoholic beverages of all kinds and specialty drinks can be expensive! :)

Do you mean Cosmic Ray's?

I was sitting here wondering what you were talking about. I thought there was a new place across from the actual race track that I didn't know about.

You mean in Magic Kingdom, across from the Indy Speedway?
