I've read on here a few times about weekly condo rentals for $249 + $20 booking fee (or something similar). Can someone please give me the website?

TIA!!

If you or a family member work for the govt.....town, state, or federal, you can also book places through govarm.com and getravelop.com. Military families can use AFVC.com.

My dh works for a town and we are eligible. So I just booked a week in Williamsburg for April break in a 2 bedroom condo for $469 for the week through govarm.

Hope this helps!

Do you know if a teacher would apply? My wife's paychecks say she is an employee of the city.

Bastiansmom,

Skyauction currently has their $249 certificates priced at $229.99. The certificates are then used to book a week of your choice depending on the condo inventory available. You can check availability by clicking on a link in the auction posting. Generally, availability is limited to off season, less traveled weeks, though if you are flexible and can wait till close to your travel date, you may get lucky and snag a more popular week. No guarantee. The current certificates can be used until Nov. 2011 (ressies must be made before 11/30/10).

We have used Skyauction before, but this is my first time using one of these certificates. Although there is currently some availability for our week, I'm waiting a bit to see if something better opens up. It's a gamble, but if it doesn't work out to use it this year, I can use it next year too. Good Luck! :)

Katman: I would think they might. I was actually pleasantly surprised that my dh qualified since he works for a municipality...not the state or fed. govt.. But I called them and they said he did. We have used them a couple times before and never had a problem. I have found the best availability on govarm so I would call them to check. The number is on their website. Hope this works for you!

HeatherC,

Thanks for the info re: govarm...we've used AFVC before because DH is retired military, and I was vaguely aware of govarm. Nice to know about the better availability though--I'll have to look into it! :)
