My daughter wanted to be Tinkerbell for cartoon day during Homecoming Spirit Week at her high school. I was prepared to buy tulle and fashion a Tinkerbell skirt, but lo and behold at a big consignment sale I found a light green satin knee length bridesmaid's dress with apricot satin lining and underskirt. Size 2, tags still on $286!! Got it for $25. It had kind of twisty straps with a v neck and back, fitted bodice, fitted waist and then the skirt just draped beautifully to the knees. I cut it a little shorter and sliced and diced the top skirt so it was wispy. She wore it with a matching light green cami and off-white capri tights with yellow flats. Borrowed purple and green fairy wings. She wore her long curly blonde hair up with a green sparkly ribbon. By gosh when she left the house this morning she really WAS Tinkerbell !!
